Cullen got moved to the bracket race after he had changed jet, thus making his previous times useless. He missed his dial in time and lost.Dave was eliminated in the second round of his class.I'm sure they both look at it positively for the 1/4 mile experience; but like most times at the track, you tend to leave a bit disappointed.

Gang. Question....

After talking with Dave this weekend, I have decided I am finally going to install my RVM UDP that has been sitting in my basement for over a year. Does anyone know the part number of the belts I need for the VQ3.5?

Thx...

Yep, that'll work. I don't have search over there so I'm SOL.

Looks like NAPA is the place to go. Gotta get a new gasket first tho...

Tell me about leaving dissapointed Scott! There is always something wrong when I go to the track. Take your pick: 1) Too warm 2) Too cold 3) No track prep 4)34534534 people, so I get 2 runs in 5) Bad gas 6)Jar of peanut butter rolls under accelerator, lol.

Please link Cullen's thread on 502 about his times. Is Dave posting much, I'd like to hear how much he has improved at the strip...

By the way Dave, my Chicago public schools education says the following formula is about right:

FI +VQ35 + FWD = Problems from a dig, Tons of smiles from a roll. :ylsuper

My excuses are as follows:

My first time using slicks, My ECU(I found out today and I'll start a new thread about asap) was in a type of limp-mode that I have NEVER experienced before, it was humid, my dash was smoking, I had low bottle pressure(I found out later in my 4th run which was due to: 1/4-1/3 tank of n2o(much less than I thought)

I ran: NA: 14.4 / 35shot: 13.7 :rolleyes  and yes, FI and especially nitrous+FWD+VQ= pointless 1st and 2nd gears on street tires from a dig, but with slicks= weeeeeeee!

Ok i have a little bit of time. I am still studying for my compentency test next week. Yeah thinking of converting. I went ahead and ordered a y-pipe from cattman, but I got a hella of a deal on it and can sell it for what i gave for it easily. Right now I am trying to figure out how much money i have to put a turbo on. Roughly Hal how much do u think it will cost for the parts to put on a T3/T4. I can buy stuff used except the turbo. i would like buy a new one. Also Hal do u know what the ratio on the turbo is for the 3.5. IS it around .50 A/R Compressor, .63 A/R Turbine?

Oh my times. I got a 14.78 on the 1/4 mile but my 1/8 miles were still 9.8 My trap speed was 96.8mpg. I just got to work on my launches plus gotta get new tires. I guess its bad when the marks telling you how much tread is left is virtually gone :D I'm leaning toward the p zero nero's If anyone else has a suggestion on tires let me know. My stock size is 225/50/17, but a lot of tires do not come in that config so i will put on 235/45/17.

Well crap i gotta run. I'll post up more later.

Dave, I forgot to tell you earlier, but look at the two pics of your car in my pics from Car Wars. Pay close attention to rear wheel well gap in both pics. The first pic of your car came during your shift, the second is further along in the gear. When I was going through the film frame by frame I noticed how much of your momentum is going into the body raising and squating during shifts. Time to stiffen that bad boy up (get your mind out of the gutter).

Yep. IMO my Eibachs are good for .1 - .2 in the 1/4. At Beech Bend, I was up to .2 faster than the stock Maximas and Altima autos.

I don't have any proof that it made a difference, but I'm sure it did with mine. The only problem is from one track visit to the next I went from only I/Y/E to I/Y/E, n2o, springs, struts, UDP, and drag radials. So, I don't really know what exactly did what, besides spray.

All of my runs have been with springs, FSTB and RSB. The only times I ran with my other mods was Clay City (rain day) and Beech Bend once where it was 90+% humidity and the launch was a skating rink....

Not last nite but the Tornado 2 days ago, made Nico member Michael and his gf Miranda temporarily homeles as their domicile had become flooded.

So they are (for now) living in the local NICO Office, with their 2 cats.

Welcome home Steve!

I checked the org Saturday for the first time in a month (water skiing's been good so far but the lake is flooded right now) and you guys up and moved!!I hope the additional traffic doesn't clog up this site like the last one!

Just thought I'd come up for air. I skied Canyon Lake Monday night (45 minutes south of Los Angeles) and I still think our little private site can't be beat. If you guys want to give it a try some evening give me a yell. Time to go change my oil...
