Well we got hit really hard around where i live. Power lines were all over the road. A tree fell down right next to our house and destroyed 2 vehicles and our neighbor right beside us has some house damage from the tree, luckly my maxima was unscaved. and the power was out for parts of brownsboro. Other than that everyone seems to be ok. Good to hear that everyone is alright though

If you're still going to SMI, be sure to check out the old Datsun 510 they have for sale.

let us all know how you like your Cattman y-pipe once you've had time to get a feel for it. I'm sure it won't be like the sudden "burst" of power ~3200rpms like with the VQ30DE because the OEM y-pipe on the 5th gens is designed so much better, but I imagine it is a more widely felt gain.

any of you find that your cars are very sensative to over filling the oil? I put 4 quarts in, and I think it's too much. When I poured the old oil into a gallon container it looks like I only got 3.5 quarts out.I seem to have lost all my top end (power above 3500 RPM).

Hmmmmm...I just changed mine this morning, and as is usual for my car, it took aroung 4 1/4 quarts. I've never had mine overfilled (according to the dipstick), so I have no idea about your loss of power situation. What is your dipstick showing?

Turns out it wasn't over full. Just right.Hmmm. I don't get it.Maybe it's learned to drive differently since it' hasn't seen the high side of 3500 rpm in the last month?

I don't get it.

It was running pretty strong a month ago. Not much has changed. Seems to give in a little at 3200 RPM (always did that) but then approaching 4000 it's like it's running into a 40 mph head wind. Just doesn't want to accelerate hard.

Strange indeed Steve. I guess it would be possible that if your driving style has drasticly changed for a period of time, the computer has adapted some things. But not to the extent that it behave the way you're descibing.

Dave, I've been having these strange vision...you're all curled up in a corner of your room holding a bottle of Zaino in one hand, and distilled water in the other, with a chamois over your head. You're mumbling something like, "...must wax....shift.....Maxima......DON"T TOUCH HER!!!" It's almost like something out of Apocalypse Now (Marlon Brando's character).I hope I'm totaly off base...you doing OK bud?

Looks like rain. I might be there to watch if weather permits.
