Ok... ARGH. bad news. Well i was on the road and there was a road cone that belongs to the marriat that is being built here in downtown area. Well the cone itself if was tilted on the grond with the black end up. Well i didnt see it in time and hit it. Well it cracked the front bumper on the bottom. I need advice on what to do. Right now I am thinking of calling the marriat or going to the construction area. Let me know what you think i should do. I just got this bumper fixed..... ARGH Cullen your luck has rubbed of onto me. hehe

Hey guys, just dropping in to catch up. I've been working a lot and skiing a lot (about 2- 3 times a week). Yeah, I met Chad down at the camp a few weeks back. Nice guy. We gave him a few pointers. Awesome is very relative. It's kind of like golf. Some days you can be really on, and then there are days like today.

I haven't been doing anything with the Max. although, I did get the color matched splash guards a while back. I tend to get focused on the water in the summer. I'm thinking of plunking down $1000 for a new ski, hard shell bindings, etc.

You want to see a really cool wipeout?

http://home.insightbb.com/~ssh...e.movRequires quick time I think.

It's almost august... time to wash the car again... :)

It's like i have the weight of old headers and crank pulleys takin off your car. ( I know cheesy analogy) Just thought i'd share some good news in my life.
Congratulations!!I've been thinking I need a good dental cleaning. what is your preferred method? Clay bar or Zaino?

Dave, congratulations and condolences. Definitely try to find out who is responsible at the construction site. I would talk to them, and see what, if anything, they'd be willing to do for you. If that doesn't help, contact Marriot's corporate office and explain what happened. Be sure to take lots of pics of the cone and your bumper.

Dave: I hate that for you, but it's nice to have such a big accomplishment to even out the little problems, ya know. I'd follow Scott's advice.

Steve: Good to hear from you! That video was awesome. It's like Marvin Gaye was singing to you from the water's point of view. haha. LOL at the zaino or clay for the teeth cleaning.

Hey guys. I was wondering if you all knew of a good place to dyno your car here in Louisville. I made adeal with cattman. He's paying a little for my dynos to compare the difference between the y-pipe and headers. SOmeone is already doing the stock to header dyno i think. So I'll have to have probably 2 runs of 3. ISnt this usuually around 60-70 dollars a run?

I herd Clements is good. I think its in IN. I also herd of a Mustang Dyno now open in Louisville but those read lower #'s so thats probably not what you need.

BTW: Any one going to this meet?
jEzTeR wrote:Hey all!

Aug 1st 2004 there is a cool meet in Nashville that a bunch of the local car people are going to. I'ts set up as a Honda meet but I know that there are going to be lots of other good cars going. Several Nissans. I am going to try and go and was hoping some of the Max's will go as well.

we will be leaving Meijers on Preston @ 9:30am Sunday.

Dave: Clemons is the best around here really. You DO NOT want a Mustang Dyno. You will be very dissapointed in the numbers. Clemons is in Corydon.... I think.

Dane/Scott: If I have my new car, I'll drive. If I don't I'll ride with Scott. hehe

Dave, happy to hear of your recent successes! It feels nice to reach your goal, don't it? :D I've decided to go back to school for business and start late August. Gonna do one class this semester since I work 40 hrs like everybody else, and once I get back into the groove, will decide about doubling up on classes for winter semester.

Good to see you're going the Cattman route, he certainly makes quality products. I know yours is a 6spd, but I will be looking forward to you documenting the difficulty of install, and overall power increase from this mod, I think I'll be able to take something from it.

As far as your accident ^^. Document your damage. Take photos of your car, take photos of the cone that damaged your car, along with photos of the area, so there is no questions as to where the photos are being taken from. File a police desk report to document you had an accident, or you may not if you want to avoid it going on your driver record...

You will need to go through the general liability insurance for the construction firm, or the gl insurance for the hotel themselves. There's too much for me to explain, or try to write down. Give me a call bud at work 847-700-8517, Chicago #. I will help where I can.

FWIW, if anybody ever has any questions regarding insurance claims or procedures, ask away, I'm your friendly insurance go-to adjuster guy.

How do I get my insurance company to pay for a repaint due to rock chips? :D

Dave, call the Marriot and make a call to the city. I know in some cases the city will fix damage to vehicles due to potholes and such. Doubt they will do much about the cone tho unless it was them doing the work. If it was a construction company, their insurance may pay for the damage, but they will deny everything of course....

I might be able to go but with my car no. I'm in between jobs so I don't have any money for gas. All the money I have is saved up for insurance and car payments. If I can get a ride I might be able to go.

Hey you asked...Call your insurance company. Report a claim where you were traveling behind a dump truck. Some of the cargo (gravel, stones, etc) came off the back of the dump and peppered your car. You pulled over and of course the dump truck continued driving. Your insurance will probably hit you with the deductible, so the above scenario only makes sense really if you have a $100 deductible or something...

My SE-R received a free full paint job via some ID dump truck a few years ago. :D

The guy that picks up the dumpsters where I work said that this happens everyday.
