The idiot is the one who posted something stupid enough to generate 5 pages of rebuttal. Do yourself a favor, Princess - Go driv a Vette and then come back and ell me how crappy the LT-1 is. Right after you scoop out your shorts. :D

so now i know there lots and lots of american muscle car people driving 240's for god knows why.

It's called having respect for good engineering and automotive history. AND not buying the crap your friends spout as the gospel truth.

k can someone lock this post it getting long. why not delete it alltogether.

Let us worry about what stays open and what gets closed. I'd like to leave it up as an example of what happens when someone blathers on without being adequately informed.

Carry on. :D

People keep missing the point here. i give up, ya'll dont listen. I wouldnt care if an american car was the fastest Fing thing on earth, its crap. I like not running out of gas before hitting top speed. 2.0 l is nice like that

Well, if it's n/a 2.0, you're right. If it's a turbo 2.0, you're completely wrong. A turbo 2.0 will suck petrol like a 5.0 Rustang, if it's driven hard. Just ask any WRX owner. ;)

Just so you know...the 1995 Camaro (which utilizes the LT1 engine) gets 25mph on the highway...thats not much worse than a KA, definitely not considering it is more than twice the size. Care to know why? Because such a large engine barely has to run to keep the car at highway speeds and a small engine such as the KA has to be leaned on a bit to keep the car at that speeds. To a degree it all balances out. Now, Drakon...shutup.

the z06 corvette will own 99% of EVERY japanese car ever made, in all types of racing. only car that comes to mind in comparison is the rx7-tt.. then again that cars beyond unreliable.

:Werd this guy reminds me of the kid who was asking where to get a JDM wing, because no wings sold in the U.S. had an appropriate *attack angle*, and therefore would slow his lap times by a couple of seconds, yet all the while he claimed to run narrow tires so he could get his car to *drift* through corners. To summarize: a JDM wing to create downforce unavailable with wings sold here now, to give him better traction, so he can drift his car around corners during his timed laps.

I see a similarity of stupidity.

This thread is so frusterating to read. 6 pages of how darkon is wrong. Yes we get it. But you have all missed the point of the original question. and my posts keep getting ignored.

Is it wrong to drop a chevy motor in a nissan and claim fastest nissan? Sure is.

SmithSR -- Please dont bring that up again. it was pretty clear that the guy just wanted a CF wing that wasnt Ebay-bookshelf style. Probably something like what is picutred on the GPsports S15, a dual curve wing good for highspeed downforce and lateral stability. You were just a **** about it.

I dobut aries has ever claimed fastest nissan.. but is it really a nissan? its a nissan body, and a Chevy motor.

The car is still Nissan...only thing Chevy is engine and drivetrain (according to LCM website anyway). Is a stock Nissan a Nissan? Mitsibishi makes some of the engine electronics for Nissan, so is it truly a Nissan?

its still a nissan designed motor. What about the up-comming 240sx meet that lime creek is seting up? How'd you like it if a LT1 camero showed up? Do you wanna run your 4-cyl KA against an LT1 just cuz its in a nissan shell?

If you read my other posts like LTJJ did, than you know i dont really care, i am just playing the other side for conversation.

Well if you think about it, who would want to run their KA 240sx vs a I6 skyline engine or even a 4 banger 205 hp sr20? I know I wouldn't!

No, your pretty much gonna loose unless you have one huge bottle of NAWWS hidden in your butt. But that is still a competition of nissan vs. nissan. Silvia vs. Skyline vs USDM 240 pride.

the most important thing in a car is the chassis. the engine is least important. you can make ANY engine stupid fast with enough money... but if your chassis has a bad suspension geometry, weak frame, poor aerodynamics etc etc, it'll ALWAYS be crap.

if you stuck an RB26dett tuned to 600rwhp in a oldskool VW bus, it wouldnt be worth ****.

a 240 with any motor is still a 240. so no, its not wrong to have a chevy motor, because the chassis is still the same. if he destroyed the suspension geometry and made it FWD in order to stick the chevy motor in, THEN it would be wrong. 240sx's have freakin TRUCK motors in them, are they wrong for not having car motors in them, or SR20det's in them stock? its not like the 240 has the perfect driveline and engine setup, where disrupting it destroys the characteristics of the car.. get over it, his cars faster than all yours, regardless of what makes it go.

alot of you need to get over the domestic hating thing. alot of them are faster than imports... and all the domestics ive owned lasted a stupid long time... i had less problems with my 91 ford escort than ANY of my toyotas...

Toms has a good point. and about the ford having less problems, not only that, but it costs less to buy the parts for them. imports cost so damn much to repair, its insane.
