No its not the bolts. Its the tolerances between the inner hub and outer gear.Doesn't matter if you crazy glued them.It will just wear down the aluminum on the inner hub from vibration and then you will have to play the tightening game with it.

Well they're CNCd with pretty tight tolerances so I don't know ... I guess I'll run it and keep an eye on them.

Quest alternator does not bolt right up... you need to ream the lower mounting hole out. Then you need to modify the **** out of the slider bracket, and then drill a new mounting hole in the stock bracket so it doesn't wiggle about. Takes a little time but works.

That's just a rebuilt RB20 alternator. And you're right it's got a RB25 crank pulley on there and a stock RB20 water pump (now, it's an rb25 in that picture). At some point I'll most likely take the Quest alternator I have retrofitted to my KA and have it rebuilt and modify it to work on the RB. It sounds like the work to make it fit on the RB is almost identical to the work required for the KA.

On the picture above my post, do you have "rhino liner" or similar sprayed into your bay? Looks interesting, do you have more photos of it? Nice compressor housing with the 90* outlet preformed into it!

Sorry.. 9.3mm.They are JUN.We use either JUN or Tomei cams in most our engines (being NZ dealers for them) We do however get custom built cams done also for special ocassions.

Sheesh, another thread I should have posted in forever ago.

Anyway, I took these today after putting in my modded recirc pipe so it would fit on the Laurel's RB. A stock Skyline one won't fit without cutting out a couple chunks and welding back together. Thanks to Yokota180sx for doing the cutting and welding.

There she is, in all her Japanese glory.
