don't give up.. it took me forever to find mine..

I bought mine 4 1/2 years ago... I totaled my civic and was not going to buy anything BUT a S14..

so I looked for 6 months... and belive me you... that is a long long time to find one here in SoCal... but I did and it was perfect except I wanted to get a Pearl white and I got a Black... but other than that, it was perfect... I got it for $10K back then with like 35K miles and in perfect condition..

so just hold on and you will find it... did you think about looking for a S13 and using the left over money to do mods???

S13's are not $4k... you can get one for like $2k... just keep looking...

don't be afraid to get a shell for cheap and then just get a motor and drop it in!

There is a ca on ebay right now for $700 and ka's are as plentiful as v6 mustangs.

you got plently of people around you, they can help you do the drop in motor..

just keep looking and you will find!

My first s13 cost me $300 with a "blown" ka (wasn't really messed up just the cam gear backed out and got wedged) and an awesome body. I drove by it everyday for almost a year and finally just stopped to look at it b/c I thought it looked cool. I never even knew what type of car it was. The guy said "oh you can put a silvia engine in it" and I was like what? Silvia?

My second one was a 91' se my dad found in the paper for $1500 so I called and the old guy said he lived on my street and I never even saw it. It had a slipping clutch and a broken door but was loaded. I got it for $700 b/c he just bought a new maxima and wanted the 240 out.

I think I was always meant to own a 240.

just keep looking... also look out of your area? maybe a trip to a state over or somethign too.. broaden the area you are looking in

Dont worry man you'll find a car eventually it took me almost 5 months to find an s14a for less than 10k, but just be patient its worth the wait.

I thought i got lucky on mine but i paid 2700 for crushed fenders and a snapped tie rod brace and 189k miles. But now i am the only person with a 93 with full power and no mechanical/electrical problems.

Mine came with a bashed in passengers side 1/4 panel, but loaded with all options except for hicas, lsd, and sunroof

Never settle for what you find. Only get what you want. I looked and looked and looked forever until I found the Q45 I wanted. Everytime I went back to make a purchase, it was always gone. A friend of mine finally found my ride on Autotrader, being sold by a teacher.

Thanks guys...I know that I just need to wait for what I want, I'm just so impatient. I guess the guy in KY is bringing down the 96 240SX, he wants $4k, so we'll see how that goes...and I'm sure I'll find some S13's for even less.

WELL, I talked to the guy in Kentucky about the S14 with the *R32* front-end (hmm?)...he wanted $4k...and he was an a**hole! So I told him not to bother driving down here because the car had 140k miles and a 96 for $4k...I think I could find a better deal...
