I really like the results everyone's getting!I have mine in the trunk, ready to be installed for the rear license plate.

This might sound really dumb, but I tried to unplug those two big screws that are on the bottom of the trunk.Looks like I need to turn all the way and pull it out...? I couldn't figure out how to get these ones out. I've never seen those kinds screws on my honda.Could anyone here be little kind and let me know how to unscrew those?Thank you very much in advance!

strange. those are the same ones I ordered as well, but other than producing a whiter light, I don't feel like it is brighter at all. I may even go as far as to say that it's slightly dimmer.

They certainly dont look bad. But they overshadow even the tail lights... just my opinion, to each his own. I've left mine on for now, Im going to try and get used to them. I need to find a lexus around and compare...

haha, I had the same problem trying to figure that out too. you will have to turn the ring around it which will then push out the threaded center. sorry, I forget if you turn it clockwise or counter-clockwise.

If your talking about the two rubber cushion screws on the trunk lid....I really just wiggled and pulled them out. The screw or knob portion is just for adjusting the cushion part.

The cushion I am talking about is on the trunk lid and there are two of them the size of a quarter. If you turn the knob behind the circular quarter size cushion or bumper, it will adjust it in or out. Dont know if Im making any sense

Thanks to both paigoomein and pmtran16.

Yeah, sounds like you're talking about the right ones.Basically I was keep turning the freakin thing and wasn't really doing anything except for moving out and in.I guess I'll try to wiggle it tonight and see if I can pull em out.If there's anything else I need to be aware or should know, let me know.Thank you !

Just to let both of you know that I got mine installed. The two pins(not screws! =D) were relatively easy to take off. I just wiggled around and used the flat screw driver to push the part where it was holding it in.Thank you for the advice. That made this so easy

So I finally had to USE the reverse LED's and they produce absolutely no usable light for backing up.

Luckily the brake lights produce enough, but I think I am going to go back to the OEM reverse lights to make sure I don't back over something/someone...

yep, they are basically useless, just a cosmetic change. they do offer a different type of lights for the backup, but they are $50 for the pair. I emailed them asking for pictures of the light comparison but don't think anything is posted yet. they told me that it might be close in terms of brightness to the OEM filament bulbs.

I'm with you on changing it back to the OEM lights.

Has anyone tried to send any lights back yet because they don't suffice? Did they charge a 15% restock fee?

lights look awesome

Off topic. I could never understand why people cover up their license plate in pictures or on TV. I guess I dont have a criminal mind to know what I could do with your license plate #. Makes me wonder what devious things I've been missing out on. I guess I dont worry about it driving down the road so I can't see why i'd car on a website? Anyone?

Just ordered the the plate lights, runners, and reverse lights. I have heard some mixed thoughts on the reverse lights. Are they completely useless or do they provide a adequate amount of light to be useful? Oh what are the round knob things on the trunk lid located on the inside of the trunk near the pop clips that hold the panel up?

Round knob things are the bumpers or cushions for the trunk lid. This "round knob" has to be removed before you can remove the plastic panel to get to the license plate lights.

As for the reverse light....They really don't help with illuminations but it does look good to others.

I definitely don't recommend switching out the turn signals to LEDs

Can anyone help me with the V-LED site?

I want to find the LED's to replace the "Clearance Light" which I believe what they are called in the manual (the light in the high beam area).

I looked in the user guide and they say it's 2825 but I cannot find the 19 LED.

Linkage? Appreciated in Advance!

Consider the V-LEDS #921_14_HP_W for this location.

in another post someone complained of heat issues using 19 led and recommended using 27 led. whats your opinion and what kind of light output should be expected from 27 vs 19

Carlito and gteclipse,

The heat issue was a combination of the particular location AND that the 14-led was a “high power” 5watt. However, these work perfect for backup lights.

http://www.vleds.com

194_27_SMT_W for front “parking” lights

194_HP2_W for license plate

921_14_HP_W Rear Backup Lights

Looks Great, I just did mine also and couldn't be happier. I did the fogs with the H11 LED and they came out much better than I thought they would. I did all the interior and even the trunk - what a difference maker...
