Fuel pump was diening on my LS8. Replaced it today. EASIEST JOB EVER. Didn't really even need any tools. Like most Nissans, there's a pass-through under the rear seat. But the rear seat has hand-release latches to remove, meaning no bolts. The pump itself is secured by a plastic screw rim. The hose and harness connectors all come off easily by hand (made easier with a flathead, though).
This was my first time doing the job with only a quick reference of pictures online, and it took me maybe an hour while fiddling around, and half of that was figuring out how to route the crossover hoses, which was the one odd part of this job:
There are TWO pass-throughs rather than one in Nissans. One at each front corner of the fuel tank (each end of the rear seat bench). There is a fuel level sending unit under each, with a pair of crossover lines running from the pump (passenger side) to the secondary sender (driver side). You have to route the hoses through the tank, and the tank pinches off pretty narrow in the middle to clear the driveshaft/diff/exhaust. So I ended up shoulder-deep in the (foolishly full) gas tank groping for the lines, which tended to curl toward the rear instead of across the front of the tank. Finally got them, though.
Buttoned everything back up and she started right up. Successful saturday!

So I got a Focus ST. My girlfriend has my Maxima now so it's okay. How's my favorite crew?
SWEEEEEEEEET!
Looks GROOD in black! I think it needs some different wheels, though. Something a little cleaner with a bit more depth to them.
