Makin progress huh? Guess it's not water weight after all...

I'd sure like to lose about 50 lbs, but everything diet related I've tried has only made me hungry and wanting all the time. Exercise doesn't help much either since I'm busy all the time anyway.

Grayson has ear tube surgery on the 16th. We need to stay home and help him recover.

But it does mean I can do some upgrades to the S13 instead if rushing to get her back on the road before Carlysle.

Oh man! I had no idea. I was very prone to ear infections growing up and almost had the tubes put in. Fortunately I grew out of it. Hope this works out bro.

That is sucktastic man.

Hopefully the surgery works and he gets better.
What is there left to do to your car? The thing is damned near perfect!

I've been planning a total rebuild/overhaul. More power, better handling, roll bar, new floor boards, factory aero, media blast/repaint. 5 lug, stoptech brakes, and a bunch of other s***.

Do you have collector insurance on that bad boy yet?

Not yet. I'll wait till after the build's done before I hit up collector's insurance. It'll be at the antique status for VA by then.

The full spreadsheet I made for the build is pretty f*** long. There isn't a bolt in the suspension that isn't getting turned and replaced. Going with an S14 rear subframe, offset bushings, SPL arms all around, factory adjustment lockouts, Whiteline sway bars, KW coilovers, the GK Tech knuckles, Z32 rear uprights, and I'm waiting to see what I want to do for lower control arms on both ends. I don't want factory, but there aren't a great deal of options for the arms right now. GK was supposed to be making arms, but I think the rears have all but fizzled.

Wow man. That is going to be a good chunk of time to build the rear. I don't even know what lockouts or uprights are or what they're for.

Hopefully its still together when I get down to VA next since you aren't making it to Carlisle. I don't think I've ever ridden in your car.

you might know them as knuckles

the z32 uprights are aluminum, s-chassis cars have iron. but you also have to convert to a strut with a fork style lower mount when you do the swap.

Weird, never heard of them being referred to as that.
THanks for schooling me some knowledge.
Tito- if you're free for July 3 (Friday), come by my house for my 30th party. A few NICO folks, and others.

Knuckles equal uprights, but uprights do not always equal knuckles. The way it was explained to me long ago was that knuckles were steering uprights (so usually the front) while the non-steering end were just plain old uprights.

I've already talked it over with KW and it's a go when I order the coilovers. Just gotta let them know to slap a Z32 fork sleeve on them. Also means I have to buy direct instead of through a vendor. But the markup vendors apply is so teensy, they typically don't discount them at all, so vendor prices are usually consistent with KW's direct prices.

Lockout washers are just standard center punched washers that eliminate the eccentric washer that is used for factory camber/toe adjustment in the rear. That way the bolt can't slip and throw my camber or toe off and it will only be controlled through the adjustable arms. I hate how expensive they are for just being a machined washer, but I'd probably be looking at a very similar price if I bought the stock and tried to machine it myself.
