Yeah, that s*** just hit here. I think it's gonna be a bad night/morning here. And I live on the other side of the lake, with 2 bridges between me and work...sx moneypit wrote:Mornin' Aaron !Cold with a little sleet and snow right now.Ace2cool wrote:Mornin' Ben. How's things in Memphis?
No s*** man!? Glad she's alright. How's the car?WDRacing wrote:My wifeunit made it to work, but she spun around on the highway after swerving to avoid a car stopped in the right lane, right after a turn. Luckily the snow bank kept her from contacting the concrete center barrier and there was very little traffic so she was able to recover.
She's safe, but pretty f**king anxious. I'll be driving down to pick her up and taking her to work tomorrow.
It started already there? Cool. My guess is we'll be seeing it sooner than expected, too. I only have 3 beers. Going to have to remedy that this afternoon.numbnuts240 wrote:we got 2-3 inches in saturday, and it just started snowing again about an hour ago. gotta top off the exploder and gas can for the snowblower when i get home. then get a case of beer and watch the white stuff fall.
yes and no. There are plenty of kids in the neighborhood that could do it, but none of them want to. It's surely a different world than when we were kids (and I won't call you Shirley).frapjap wrote:Bummer! Are there any kids in the neighborhood to pay?
We had the opportunity to move to VA and that was the many reasons we nixed it. We used to have nearly an hour commute in GA to both of our jobs and it was pretty much torture to me. My in-laws live near Manassas and my father-in-law has a ridiculous commute every day. No thanksDattebayo wrote:Communting an hour 3 days a week?!? That sounds like heaven to me, lol. Be glad you guys don't live in a horrible congested city area like here... The average commute I get is an hour everyday, and getting back is more like 2 hours.
Yeah we'll miss our old commutes, but even working in Louisville won't be horrible most days. Right now it takes me 25-30min to get to work and it used to take the wife about 2min to get to work because the hospital was literally across the street from our neighborhood. We're moving to Shelbyville though, so she'll have about 10min commute when we move there and i'll have about a 35-40min commute.Ace2cool wrote:Sheeeit, Brooke and I live about 30 minutes from her work without traffic, and her average commute is about an hour and 15 minutes each way. Nashville has exploded in the few years I was gone to the Navy.
