Very nice man! Congrats!

I personally would have a hard time deciding between the two, but I think I'd lean toward the Focus too. I prefer the looks a little more of the Focus.

i didn't drive a fiesta, but i did sit in one. it's tiny, and its recaros are tight. the focus is just right size, my buddy who went with me was comfy in the back and he's a big boy. the 202a package, which i have, supposedly has "better" recaros than lesser packages. i find them to be very comfortable and supportive, and i'm no twig.

I like everything about that car except the ricerific stock front lip. I don't know why, but it hits me like that. Don't mean to e mean about it...

And MoD, maybe it's time to pony up for a Cradlepoint and an unlimited data only SIM card. I install them for all the Starbucks locally, and I find them to be a very useful option for those in more rural areas because I regularly get 15 up/down from them. Even in places where the regular service is satellite or nothing.

And if your office has voice over Ethernet and your connection can barely support one person being on the phone, then it's time to seriously consider POTS lines and a PBX already. If you really must have easy tech, then get a few digital lines or something...? I don't understand the push for higher tech in business when you just don't have the connection to support it. I wish I could make IT businesses understand that one solution does not fit all... it would seriously make me have a better day at work more often.

i've known you long enough to get you bro. i like the front end, personally, even more than the new 2015 front. the only ricer thing that it's got, that i just turned off, is the accent lighting that has a bunch of select-able colors. so effing stupid. then they put the controls for it where the sunroof controls would be, so now they're up there reminding you of just how much you can juvenile-ize the interior so quickly.

So on a side note, I've lost 17 lbs in two weeks. Nothing but diet changes. 259.2, down from 276.2. Target goal is still a ways off.

Nice car Tito! I drove a base model Focus rental a while back and liked it quite a bit. The ST improves on all the right things.

I might have to go look at one sometime, because i've driven a MS3 but Bex kinda shied me away from the Focus ST after she looked at one. I personally think the Focus ST is a much better looking car than the MS3. Not that i'm in the market for another car at this point, but the dealership doesn't have to know that :chuckle:

Good job man! I did the same about a year and half ago. I dropped from 285 to 255lbs in about 6 months time just by watching my calorie/fat intake, drinking A LOT of water, and walking 45min to an hour on the treadmill 3 times a week. I didn't even drastically change my food intake, I just kept in mind that if I was nearing my limit for the day then I would keep myself from snacking in the evening. It's funny though, because you find yourself eating healthier without even realizing it when you start making changes like that.

I just have started back again myself. I went into IDGAF mode for the past year because of how busy I was and lack of sleep, so i'm finally just getting back to the point where I realized I needed to get it back under control again. I'm a long way away too, but target weight is 220-225lbs. I'm back around 275lbs again right now.

Yeah, that's kinda where I was. Too much going on to worry about what I was eating, but now, I've got some breathing room. Target weight for me is (an unrealistic) 186. That's the weight I was about halfway through boot camp. But honestly, if I hit 200 again, I'll be a very happy Aaron.

I was 209 when we got married and that was the skinniest I've ever been since I was like 14. If I hit 220 I'll be very happy. Then if I do I plan to hit the weights again and pack on a little muscle. Once I get to that I would like to be no more than 225 so I'll probably have to lean down some more even then.

Congrats on the purchase/weight loss!

How's the stereo etc? If you mentioned it already, act like I didn't read anything before this post...lol. The My Touch system was the main detractor for me when we bought the Dart in 13. That and the turbo version only came in manual, which is a no-go for the wifeunit.

This has been a weird week so far. I've only been in the office a total of 2 hours. The kiddo was sick yesterday, so I took off the whole day since she can't go to school and the wife had to work. Then today I get to the office and they call me right around 9am, which i'm expecting that the kid is still sick and has to come home. Negative. I main waterline broke and the school has to shut down until it's fixed. AWESOME.

So I had to take the day off again and the wife has to take off tomorrow. At least work was nice enough to only count me off for a half day since i'm doing some work from home.

Having the flexible work schedule is nice. Glad they're good to you that way.

One time, I went to a production plant for a trial run and they had an emergency due to an ammonia leak. Yup, flew out there for a lot of nothing!

Yeah they're really fair in most situations. Basically as long as you don't take advantage of things, they'll take care of you whenever they can. There have been many times they've paid me for an entire day even if I left early or had to go take care of something.

Yeah, office drones sure have it easy. When a tech shows up on site and can't work for whatever reason (even if it's completely out of their control), companies generally give a consolation prize: one-hour labor plus travel compensation (sometimes). It's fu*ked up because you basically lose your entire day AND another day with less total pay.

But offices always take care of their drones! Man, I can barely stop to take a piss some days because it would prevent me from finishing the job, so a little equality would make me happy.

Offices don't always take care of their people. I have plenty of friends that can testify to that too. Some jobs just plain suck, but you do what you have to do to make money right?

I've just been lucky to have had a couple of jobs that have treated me well. Honestly this is my first office job in this field. I've never really been stuck behind a desk before. I'm usually working a parts counter, doing inventory, or out on the road so it's quite a change of pace for me. I was still treated the same in other positions too though.

We treat our technicians just as well as everyone else, so it's not just the office people that get that treatment. They work out in the elements and are logging hundreds of miles per day, but if they need time off or need to take care of something during the day we let them.

I have never had an honest-to-god desk job. Closest thing I've ever done was John Deere parts. I don't think I could handle it.

I have days that I hate sitting at the desk all day, but there's usually always something to do when I do get that itch. Either someone is off and I need to fill in for them, or parts need to be delivered, or I may need to go see a customer. Warranty Manager is my title but no one in the company does just what their title leads on.

That being said I've never had a desire to turn wrenches or work on anything in general at all for a living. I'll wrench on my own stuff and friends stuff, but as for a living I have zero interest. I am a lot better at problem solving, management, and pushing product.

I have an "honest-to-god desk job" but I spend as much time running around as I do at my desk. I have a few day-to-day checklist things, but most of my job is being ready for the unexpected and reacting to it effectively.

I've done labor jobs, too (construction, electrician, technical theater) and I can't say the desk is what makes the difference--it's how busy I am. I thrive on having a long checklist of stuff to do (especially if it has a nebulous deadline and gives me the freedom to get creative) which is why I enjoy my current job so much.

I am an infrastructure tech, so it's a lot of both desk and field as well. My desk work is just the documentation end of the labor, but it is a quite extensive part of my time, and it rarely is paid since it mostly happens when I'm out of the office.

Everyone sh*ts on techs. Everywhere! I've worked with several companies around the US, and maybe 2% are the good apples I've been looking for. If I could find a project I can stay with for longer than a few months with one of the good ones, maybe then I will stop bitching about the issue.

I wonder if it's just contract work in general because I've experienced that a lot when I've done contract work over the years. Plus my wife has always told me how much travel nurses get s*** on too.

My days vary how busy I am right now, just based on how much the phone rings honestly. Between service calls, parts calls, techs calling in, and general stupid calls it can fill up the entire day some days. One phone call with a person calling for parts on an old forklift can take up half the day. Then some days it can be completely dead and I may have barely anything to do.

Thankfully they finally hired someone last week to take over the parts and service stuff, so I can focus on warranty stuff full time. I have a feeling I'll probably get thrown into other stuff now though - especially once I move over to the Louisville branch.

Howdy Ben, Tito.

Early comes in many shapes and forms. Mainly after boozing it up the night before you're supposed to meet everyone at the diner for breakfast before going to the track at Carlisle.
