Yeah, I sleep about 6.5 hrs a night. The wifeunit gets up at 0615 for work...which pretty much means I'm awake too. I rack out at midnightish usually.

I have to get up at 6:15 every morning myself. I usually try to get in bed by 11, but usually midnight is about the norm for me to be asleep. Then on the weekends I usually end up staying up until 1 or 2 am trying to get caught up on crap for NICO and other projects, but it never fails that the kid wakes up at like 8am when I do that. Ugh.

You know that doesn't work, right? ;)
I never get enough sleep so it's just the norm for me.

My problem is I read before I go to sleep. Sometimes the next day suddenly starts...

I have this weird internal demon in my subconscious...okay, maybe more than one...but it constantly reminds me that I don't have enough time in the day, nor life left on the planet to read all of the good books.

SHHHHHH! If I don't tell my subconscious that, it'll never know the difference. ;)

See I don't have that problem because I hate reading books. I will read a lot of articles on various stuff though, so sometimes that distracts me from sleeping. It usually doesn't keep me up the whole night though.

My biggest problem is I forget to do stuff, then suddenly remember after I put the kid to bed what needs to be done. That or I go to bed and my mind will start racing, thinking about everything I need to get done if I have a lot on my plate. Thankfully that happens a lot less since I take something to help me sleep every night now, but it still happens on occasion.

Same issue. My wife solved that by recently getting into audio books. She Normally listens to them the during her commute or while walking the pups, or occasionally to drown out my snoring. :) Our local library stocks a whole bunch of them, so she's been reading them pretty steadily.

The only books I would really want on audio, I can't get: my textbooks. I know that sounds weird as hell but I have an hour commute each way to and from school. If I could listen to the words, instead of sitting down to read them, that would be fantastic!!

I have zero interest in flying, which is why I plan to never move so far away that I can't drive to visit family.

I still plan on doing a cross-country trip eventually to NICO HQ because I sure as hell won't be missing out on a chance to take a roadtrip like that. Screw flying.

There are so many places I want to visit in my lifetime that aren't accessible by land. It's disappointing that with all of today's technology that this is still such a huge issue. It makes me think twice about all of my travel plans and that makes me sad.

I would like to visit Italy and Ireland someday, but that is the only travel plans I have that would require plane. Outside of that, I just want to make one cross-country roadtrip and i'll be good.

I enjoy flying, I just don't enjoy fitting in airline seats. My own plane (and helicopter) and pilot's license would be perfect.

The last trip Greg and I took together on (United Airlines) Greg's knees touched the seatback in front of him. That was a REALLY long flight.

I can't avoid flying ... lots of trips for work all the time. :ohno:

At least two to three trips a month to someplace or the other. In August, it is one trip to Calgary, one to Las Vegas and one to Fort Lauderdale ... September and October will be similar. Years ago, I had a very scary experience on an International flight over Turkey and became very leery of flying. But, since 1995, I have been on an average of 25 to 30 flights per year ...

Sometimes I get to go to cool places though. One trip a few years ago, I was gone more than a week to multiple countries in Europe: Denmark, Norway, Germany and Italy ... a day or two in a city in those countries.

The Japan trips are always interesting ... language barrier and non-English signs make it more difficult than EU countries. Got to go on the Shinkansen the last two trips though ... that was truly an experience.

Morning folks.
Had an emergency business trip to Burlington last week. At least it was a long drive to get more comfortable with the new car. Things I learned:
I really, really missed the smoothness and insta-torque of a big V8.
The chassis is a fantastic GT cruiser and is very comfortable to drive on long trips.
Using the A/C while the top is down is a very guilty pleasure.
The rear end was leaking fluid. Tightened that back up, hopefully the problem goes away.
Overall, 27 mpg on the highway with a V8 and a few "leg stretching" speeds through the mountains isn't shabby.

Saw a few country new comers last night for a $25 ticket to a street party.

We also accidentally crashed a seperate benefit party while trying to find the party. We thought we were in the right place and they let us in without too much trouble. Shows what looking confident and sure of yourself will do for you. Of course, once we figured out it wasn't our original destination, we left. Lindsey, being the do-gooder she is, couldn't be convinced to have a beer or some food first. Her hearts in the right place.

What'd y'all do?

Awesomesauce. That dude needs to go work at NASA and we need to give them back their budget.

I pulled the old carpet from one of the rooms in my basement. The previous owners cat had pissed on it. So I pulled the carpet and pad, then steam cleaned the slab. No more smell. Now we can start utilizing that space for other than storage. By that I mean the entire basement. One room with catpiss pretty much ruins the entire floor it's on.

So I have a basement that is basically finished complete with a full bath. But it's totally 70's color and furnished. Part of me just wants to rock a 70's theme for the entire basement. I'll take some pics and post them up, we can discuss options and such.

I also need to...man I could finish this sentence with like 30 different things...making a house your own is a lot of work.

Anyway, I'll post up projects as I start them. Get some input from you guys.

Chris, can I run more than one wireless router? My metal outbuilding barely gets a signal and I have a pretty baller router, so upgrading that won't fix it. Thoughts?

Ben, talk to me about your old Z31. It's up for sale right now, as you know. My oldest boy is stationed in VA and needs a first car. I thought this would be a great first car and a cool way to keep a Z in the family.

Congrats on getting the cat piss smell out. Reminds me of that episode of King of the Hill when Kahn puts what looks like an awesome couch in the alley and the guys wonder why. Instead of asking, they make fun of him being wasteful and trick out the couch with an awning, cup holders, etc. Later Kahn comes out and calls them stupid rednecks and tells them cat pissed on the couch.

You can run more than one wireless router. Lindseys folks must have 3 in the house.

Yep! Just make sure it's IP is outside of your DHCP hand-out addresses and make the SSID and encryption type is the same as the others. Then you plug in the cable from the other router into one of the numbered ports on the back (1,2,3,4), not the single Ethernet port all by its self.
