I'm one of those crazy people that really liked ME2 out of the three. I'm still playing through ME3

HOLY DAMN! Did you see the points Manning put up last night, Brian?

On top of that, did you see Jacoby Jones get absolutely LEVELED by his own teammate?!

I love the entire ME series, ME3 is my favorite only because the first one had lots of boring bits, like planet exploring etc...and the metric a** ton of weapon and armor mods. I like playing ME3 as a chick, so I can have the lesbian romance experience.

I passed out during half time, but James texted me in the AM sometime about Manning getting him 41 pts.

Watching Jones getting leveled by a rookie was pretty sweet!

morning Ben!

Who would you play this week, Brian?
Karpernick or Vick?
I'm leaning on Kaepernick to still have a change on Green Bay. I don't think Vick will be the better producer.

and for another league:
Manuel or Newton?

Leaning towards Manuel since Newton is likely to be shut down by Seattle's defense. New England will at east allow Manuel some yard, and maybe a touchdown even if Buffalo has no chance at winning.

appending the second option- this is in a 2QB league. I have 3, one on bench. The other is RG3 who I'm thinking is a no brainer to leave in.

Femshep lesbo action all the way! /highfive

Kaepernick. I don't like Vick at all, 10 bucks says he's injured within the first 4 weeks. Also, he was barely able to take the starting job over 2 other not so good options.

Newton. I think he's going to have a good year.

Took me awhile to beat ME3 on insanity mode. I really swap back and forth between ME1-2-3 and Half Life 2-1-2.

I've gone back and forth with FakeFactory's Cinematic Mod on HL2 for a while. As it evolved it kind of changed its style a few times. My biggest complaint with it is that it changes Alyx into an overtly-sexy Adriana Lima clone. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE sexy women. But part of Alyx's appeal (on many, many levels) was always that she's NOT overtly sexy...she's a smart, capable girl who certainly has a pretty nice figure but doesn't need to make a big deal of it. Much more interesting and fun than "oh, look, my thin and slightly damp t-shirt has built-in thermometers!" You can leave the default Alyx in the game and still use the mod, but all the high-res versions of her show more skin, which is just silly.

I agree with the "stylistic chioces" comment. He changes the look of some things that didn't need changing (aside from Alyx).

One of the interesting "improvements" the FakeFactory mod makes is that it runs all HL2 (the original and both Episodes) in the Episode 2 engine, which means you get updated dynamic shadows and the separate flashlight/sprint gauges. I kind of find the separated power gauges stupid...an obvious Xbox360 concession. Having to balance the two in dark areas added something to the game. Just like the stupid "duct tape mod" for Doom 3 which let you have your gun and flashlight out together--HAVING TO CHOOSE WAS PART OF THE FUN! Do you want to see? Or shoot? You can't do both! It's more interesting, more tense!

I still haven't played ME3. I keep meaning to go back and replay the last mission of ME2 so I can keep Legion (the ONLY character I cared about saving was the one that died!!!). Then I'll have a save to import into ME3 and continue with.

I couldn't agree more about Alyx! She's perfect the way she is. That little bit of purple panties sticking out is all the overt sexiness I need.

If you want to save Legion in ME2 you're going to love one the choices you have to make in ME3.

I run with the original Alyx. I just wish she had hi res textures. I hate his Dr Mossman as well. Looks so out of place. Interesting note, Michelle Forbes plays Dr M. One of my favorite hard edged actresses

She's been in lots of other videogames...good and bad. She's Circe in DCU:O (a good game with an unusable GUI). She's also Captain whatshisname in Riddick: Dark Athena (a really good game).

Morning Ben!

Got this stupid clunk in my front drivers side. Can't figure it out. I hear it when I pull into/out of the garage under the slightest power. Thinking a strut tower bolt is loose or needs tightening, but I think one of the eccentrics isn't tight enough either- as one of them was tightened again this weekend. Its driving me nuts...

Mornin' folks.

I hate Mondays. I never sleep well on Sunday nights.

I'm finally getting the windows tinted on the 500 tomorrow though, so that's one more thing to knock off the list. Oh and I have to spend $650 on it sometime this week to finally get the A/C compressor fixed :frown:

Sweet!! Tint is awesome. Too bad this state thinks its the devil.

If the work week started on Tuesday, do you think we'd all hate Tuesdays too?

At least we get some time to hang and watch the game on Thursday, Chris. Maybe BW3? I'll shoot you the info on bookface.

Yes, i'm excited about the tint. KY doesn't give a crap about anything for the most part. No emissions, no weird tint laws, no helmet law(which I think is dumb), and pretty laid back cops.

I would imagine so. If the week started on Thursday and ended on Friday, we'd hate Thursday too.

Wait, wut? I thought you meant this past Thursday... I thought you had gotten busy or something. This Thursday won't work because Kristen is working Thursday and Friday :frown:

Sorry man. I guess I misunderstood what days you meant. She's working Thurs, Fri, and Sun this week so unless I can somehow arrange for childcare, I can't go anywhere.

Crap! I hope you didn't think I bailed on you last week!
If you can work something up, than great. If not, no worries. I can grab a sixer at the gas station and post up on my hotel room and watch the game.

No worries man. I ended up working late that day anyways and traffic was horrific, so I headed home instead since I hadn't heard anything.

I'll let you know if I can pull it off. Last week would've been perfect, but unfortunately this week is a little more difficult.

Ray, I must have gotten REALLY confused. You're going to be in Richmond, VA and I thought you were talking about Richmond, KY! Yeah, I don't think i'll be able to make that... LOL. It takes me 9.5 hrs to get there.

When you asked me how close I was to Richmond, I just assumed you meant the one here in KY.

Richmond, VA is the only state capital of that name.

Ray, when are you going to be near Richmond? I'm in Fredericksburg which is an hour north on I95

Hey man! I'll be in Richmond on Thursday/Friday. I won't have a rental car since one of the higher ups is making the reservations, but would be down to catch the Pats game on Thursday evening.

Well, there is a Richmond Hill elsewhere, but yeah, not a capitol. It's a little shi*ty town in northern GA that should fall off the planet and die.
