You'd be surprised what you can pick up at the salvage yard dude. Motor's and whatnot are ultra cheap as well. My neighbor was trying to sell an old Kawasaki 500 motorcycle awhile back for $200. That would have made one hell of a fun kart motor.

Heck an old 5hp briggs is fun on a kart.

Nothing like a few friends racing go-karts through the woods man. When I move up to PA I hope all of you guys come visit. I promise lots of fun, from guns and karts to beer and steaks!

We can even mix beer and karts!
I've definitely got the itch to build something.

I'm working on picking up some new toys over the next few months. I want to buy a sandblaster, a welder, a tubing bender, and maybe even a powdercoating gun. I wonder if the wife would get pissed if I baked some parts in the oven :rotfl

Yeah last time I tried to solder on the dining room table and dripped some on the table runner she got pretty upset :gotme

I really do prefer to do wiring in the dining room though because I don't have a stool for the work bench and the lighting is 100X better. I don't do much else inside though.

Sweet exploding Satan, NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON IN THIS STATE ASIDE FROM MYSELF CAN DRIVE. AT ALL. They're all STUNNINGLY inept and incapable. Simultaneously ignorant AND inconsiderate, inattentive AND combatitive, aggressive AND supremely unhurried. My tolerance for it has been exhausted.

It's the same way here too. I'm surprised I don't have more road rage, because the amount of stupid on the roads here is simply amazing. My favorite thing is it's a 4 lane road all the way to work and the speed limit is 55mph. You have everyone that knows how to drive wanting to do 65-70mph, then you always have those two idiots that want to poke along in BOTH LANES at 35mph and won't let anyone get by. ARGH.

One of the byproducts of my ever-present rage is that I have to come up with increasingly-descriptive exclamations or everything loses meaning. :chuckle:

Also:
I think the world is trying to piss me off today. The neighbor kids got a hold of something (I can't see it, I assume it's a toy) that makes siren noises and very high-pitched noises. They've been sitting there pressing the high-pitch button for AN HOUR or more. I think my brain is bleeding. It's so high pitched that it's barely-audible and is giving me one HELL of a headache.

Morning fellas.

You gotta hate when a 10 minute job turns into 1hr+ and a trip to the store.

I had to change an O2 sensor on the Subaru. f*** was rusted in there reaaaaaal good. After torching the hell out of the exhaust and a trip to the hardware store for more extensions and a cheater pipe when I got home, that bastard finally let go. The new one has anti seize. Hopefully replacing only the upstream O2 gets rid of the downstream O2 sensor code.

Mornin'

I hate doing O2 sensors. I have every tool possible to get one out too, but i've never had good luck with them.

I despise Mondays. I want my weekend back.

Did you get any weekend to yourself? Or did you spend it fixing the lawn mower again?

I always soak those bastards in WD40 before I try to unscrew them. Usually helps quite a bit.

I got a little bit of weekend. I didn't get as much sleep as I would have liked, but it was a lazy weekend anyways. Other than going shopping Saturday, we pretty much just hung around the house.

No working on the lawn mower again yet. I'm waiting a couple more weeks before I drop $200 on the part I need. I had to use the push mower again yesterday and I was cussing it the whole time :argh

FTFY. WD-40 can EAD when it comes to breaking bolts loose.

PB Blaster is the tits when it comes to O2 sensors and anything else that you fear may round out if you try to lean on it... Liquid wrench is also more acceptable than WD40.

This baffles me for the same reason the Malibu SS does. Who goes out looking for a CAMRY because they want a FAST car? Like those stupid "meet the whoevers" ads they ran for a while" where the dopey-looking overweight drivers lauded it for being "sporty" and "grounded to the ground."

Toyota CLEARLY understands marketing (not just advertising; marketing as a whole). It's why their products succeed so well. They clearly feel a legitimate need to tout their car as "fast." What baffles me is that there are people who both want a Camry AND care if their car is fast. I would think that one desire would preclude the other (either way!), but then I'm not used to going through life with my brainthinks turned off.

Methinks Toyota accidently (or not) omitted the word "downhill".
