I'm not that picky at this point. Or even at the point of a few years ago.

I'm much taller than my parents as well.
My darn hair touches the headliner in the S13 if I let it get too long.

Quick study break, glad to see things are going on as usual in this thread haha.

Razi, check out this manifold heat shield. This was from an event I went to a few months ago, the car is extremely clean and has possibly the best/cleanest ka-t setup I've ever seen. The rest of the setup is probably still too flashy for CHP, but the turbo is pretty well hidden. I'm pretty sure it's a custom manifold, but it looks like it has tabs to bolt on an OEM SR heat shield.

Also, my turbo nuts back off again so my turbo is hanging by one stud and pretty much being held up by the downpipe. I welded the studs into the manifold last time this happened, but they are loosening from the turbo side. I put lock washers on, but I guess there was just too much vibration. Time for locking tabs and safety wire haha.

Whoaaaa I want that manifold!

Haha Chris if you were closer I'd give you some of my steel lock nuts.
I put em on my car a few weeks ago and it's been holding nicely.

Here's Didderson's post.

It's a little over 5 bucks for a pack of 50 hahaha so I have a ton left over.

Finished my first day of the new job. Been awhile since I've worked 12+ hours a day. The $ will be nice, but once school starts back up, it's going to suck! That pic you posted Chris reminds me that I need to pull my heatshield, clean it, paint with VHT and bake it in the oven.

Haha I spent hours cleaning my 180sx VLSD case.

Today I went to start my car and it kept dieing and smelled like fuel, then I started it again and kept it going with the gas pedal and now it's okay.
ugh I hope it isn't a leaky injector o-ring

Yeah Moto, I saw your ka/sr manifold, that's awesome!

Razi, I'll probably go ahead and buy some of those locking nuts, I should have bought them last time this happened. I'll just bolt it together normally for the drive home this weekend, but the turbo is coming off for a rebuild over break so I'll have them for when I put it all back together.

I'm getting SPL solid subframe bushings on Friday for $100, it's gonna be a busy break!

you really should and drill them out so they get full lubrication lol. everyone says they squek after a month or two and it never goes away if you dont.

hmmm. i may. probably not though. if they squeak, then i will. i have heard they squeak too. but i dont know. right now i live in a super wet climate so dust shouldnt get in much.. if i do drill the holes, i will have to get a new tap. and figure out the size, then get zerk fittings.

aww f*** it, ill do it. not going to hurt. and its not like ill be driving the car tomorrow. haha

Yeah all laptops use the same memory sticks, they are nice and short.
The desktop ones are longer.

I've heard good things about NewEgg, and you could try Amazon.
Frys.com is cool, but I never buy online from them since they are nearby.

Oh yeah, I went and checked my sparkplugs and none of the cylinders are soaked in fuel.
I hope that weird start-up thing was just a one time deal. We'll find out tomorrow....
I did notice a stray bolt and I was like "hmm this looks familiar.." and my distributor didn't have a bolt holding it in place, doesn't look like it moved though.
