Ya man, I'm sure you know the car better than anyone else, but I would definitely try to figure out what is causing the transmission failure, before installing a new one. Seems like they aren't lasting very long at all, so it must be a pretty big problem. Just don't want to see you waste anymore money

Awesome job, hope you get this issue all sorted out

thank you for all your inputs...... when i swaped the engine, the exhaust pipes didnt line up so i had to get 90 degree bends to go on the existing exhaust set up. when i did that, i had to removed the heat shields from the pipes...... so i think that is what is causing the transmission issue, i'm going to get an external transmission cooler, plus i'll try to heat shield the exhaust pipes, i really dont want to go through another transmission, any ideas on how to heat shield the exhaust pipes is really appreciated

for heat shielding, if you don't have alot of room, is do what the hot rod guys do for headers, just wrap the exhaust system around that area of the transmission with header wrap, its a ceramic wrap that makes it almost cool enough to touch after you turn the car off for a few minutes...(depends on everyones dif. heat resistance)

as for the hesitation have you looked into the revolution sensor being bad, its been a problem on other Nissans, others have simply disconnected it and they say it solved there hesitation or hard shifting into 2nd gear.

UPDATES

thank you for the input, i didnt know that such a thing existed to wrap the exhaust pipes. i've placed an order, and it got here today, so i'm going to pick it up now actually, it comes with a spray to prevent the fiber glass from absorbing any liquids in the case of a leak into the exhaust pipe (pics pics pics over the weekend).....

the new transmission is shifting smoother (the turbine rev sensor doesnt exist in the TT transmission) , however, the fluid level is over the full mark, and there is no drain plug for it, is there anyway i can take out the fluid without going through dropping the pan?, as i only need to remove about half a litre

got the breaks, however i'm still shopping for rotors, so i'll have to wait untill i get the rotors to install everything together

HID kit is on its way from toronto (dont you love ebay), i'm looking for a set of clean headlights and conrner markers (next to the headlights), as i have broken the mounting brackets on the driver side headlight during the swap (no i did not hit it), so the whole assembly is vibrating while driving. i found a set here in montreal for a 150 canadian, if anyone knows of a better price, please let me know (i'm going to pick them up next wednesday) and complete the HID install then

i'm still looking for a way to install the intercoolers, i got enough wire extension to relocate my battery to the trunk, now i have sufficient space int he engine bay for piping, but the problem is the piping itself, is there anyway i can get a custom piping install, anyone with experiance, please help

UPDATE:

Got a set of headlights with corner markers, installation was easy, but the problem is that one of the bolts broke as i was removing it on the passenger side

HID is installed, it looks amaizing, i got an 8000K set, the installation was a relitavely easy and straight forward

The exhaust system had a problem, there were two holes that were making too much noise, got them fixed at a shop.... we had to remove the whole exhaust system as one piece for the problem to be solved..... now the engine runs a little better

Still waiting on a new climate control unit (being shipped), as mine had lighting problems, not all the lights come on, eventhough i changed the bulbs with the specified ones....

the exhaust is wraped and high heat painted around the transmission to reduce the heat being released to the transmission

ordered a transmission cooler, picking it up early next week

still looking for the tension rod bushings, and still not sure if it is the same as the 240sx, although it looks the same in pictures.... but i'll update on that once i find out.... i decided to go with the polyurethane bushings, because my research shows that any bump on the road will transfer to the cabine through the steering in the case of the all metal rods, where polyurethane wont do as much of that, but it would still give a better control than the stock bushings

my camera is loaded with pics, i'll post once i get time to upload them

Very nice!

As far as the intercooler piping, what I would do is buy one of the "box of bends" that they sell at summit racing and then patch up your own setup. if i remember you had a welder and you could at least tack everything together and then have it welded.

And how do you propose that he hangs the turbos off those headers?

LOOOL..... that is a good one....

but serously, for the HP increase, i dont think it is worth the effort and money (i wouldnt think twice about taking the engine out, if it is worth it), however, i'm ordering downpipes from ebay (magen, for about 200$ shipped) which increases the HP by up to 10-15, because they are bigger in diameter (2.5 compared to 2 inches), and they have a seperator at the turbo outlet that eliminate the turbulance between the air leaving the wastegate (high speed) and the air leaving the turbine blades (relitavely lower speed)

i'm going to focus my attention to the exhaust, i'm getting the dual with high flow cat converters (i have to do the cats because it has to pass emmisions) and dual mufflers (all piping at 2.5 inch minimum diameter), that should release a lot of the power that is arrested by the current exhaust set up (and gives it a better sound)... i wont be able to do that for at least another couple of monthes, but i've already started shopping

When I had my Golf with the 1.8 turbo, I actually had a 3" downpipe. That thing looked like a sewer pipe. lol
