if nobody beats me to it, i will be doing a write uprazah9 wrote:Hope some makes a writeup for it
You do it all yourself, well you could get someone to do it for you but it's pretty straight forward, you would definetly not go to the stealership, they would flip if they found out you were adjusting the rev limit, speed limit, ect..... for them that would be grounds to void the warranty.bhs07c wrote:So overall is it better to manually set all these limits and configurations yourself or to just have it professionally tuned at a Nissan dealership? I'm not very educated when it comes to tuners...
At Kraft?bhs07c wrote:Yeah I know that..but there are a couple guys that help me out under the table when management isn't looking..that's actually how and where i got the Alty advanced timed..the guy said he'd even install my headers which is surprising considering dealerships usually never mess with CATs

Got mine today . It's not clear if you can log data to the SD chip that comes with it. I didn't see that in the manual but I remember someone else saying this would be possible. I guess it's a question for bullydog support later.razah9 wrote:Got an email the manufacturer told em one week.
Not positive but it doesn't sound like it. You have to return your vehicle to stock settings before you can use it on another car (it mates to the ECU somehow).bhs07c wrote:you can switch between the two tunes...but if it's like other tuners, does the programmer shut itself off after a certain number of switches between the two...you know, to keep you from sharing your tuner with other people...something about a pin # or something.
Mounts to the windshield (other mounting options purchased separately). You run a power wire to the fuse box, and connect the unit to the OBDII port. It has gauges so it's designed to stay connected. But to answer your question, yes it does reprogram parts of the ECU (it's a downloader, not just a pass-through mod).bhs07c wrote:Also, does this stay connected in your car or do you tune everything and then disconnected?
check the other thread in this section, we've already started posting info about it there...grv575 wrote:

The bad news though: The manual says Nissan 2.5/3.5L coming soon (as a software update). We'll see if that's really true, but it looks like it might be more waiting until I can use this thing . I'm reluctant to take it out of the packaging (bubble plastic container, yuck but I guess they need to shave costs somewhere compared to the power pup [nice carrying case]) until I know whether it will work.
What's cool about the unit is that it has electrostatic buttons - you don't press them, they discharge when you touch them... it's also pretty small (half size of power pup) which might be convenient to just grab it and go when you park somewhere moderately sketchy.
Anyone else get theirs yet?
