Will one of the chosen please use the premium tune stage and check what the A/F ratio shows (apparently on of the monitoring features of this device)? This way we can more or less end the debate on whether or not this device leans out the A/F ratio. Figure if it comes close to Technosquare's, definitely worth the purchuse for those of us waiting for a tuner which allows this adjustment.
Also, I with those who are using Technosquare's spec's as a guideline to the rev limiter, etc. Just keep in mind what Sentient said about our internals. The VQ's are one of the best series of engines out. Basically up to our model year. I don't know why our FWD 2008 model has not been as well received by the tuning world, so buyer be ware.
Lastly, the claim of whp gains on the forum are surprising to say the least. Again, lets use Technosquare as a base line. On a stock 2006 Altima they get 15 whp boost. Which is a 6% gain when comparing to the crank numbers. We can assume this improves when comparing to the wheel numbers, but I don't have them. These guys know what they are doing, and this is a custom tune. So lets assume the best case scenario would be a conservative 8% whp over dyno numbers. So do the math. If I get 5%, with the other perks of this device, it is worth it to me.
The motor should safely take 7100RPM's Technosquare has the reflash out for the 4th gen's you just have to mail them you're ECU and wait 2 weeks or so
The reason why this car hasn't received the glory from the tuner world yet is because the 350z, G37, GT-R and 370z robbed it all. There are ALOT of similarities from our VQ35DE and the 08 350z's VQ35HR. It is definitely an upgrade over the 3rd gen altima's VQ35DE.
Even if its just to satisfy my curiosity, the motor sounds and feels just way too "relaxed" at the stock rev limit.
