actualy the quickest Qs, from what i hear anyway, are the first gens, which are cheaper than all Qs, also, most big v8s are good top end cars, ive seen caddy deville's and such haull *** up top for quite some time

Thanks...My 2 Qs are the ONLY cars I have owned that I have not taken to top end. I just could hardly resist on most of my cars and found myself finding top end on the 83 280ZX and Legend, etc. But damn when my Qs went to 150 in third with a redline 4th gear shift (manually), I only let them accelerate 5 more mph in 4th. That 5 mph accel. in 4th let me know that they were going to climb for a bit. I'd say top end close to 170! Not fear but jail that says "shut 'er down".

yea, my 89 24o hit 115 and kept going (but the speedo didnt) and my o2 altima hits about 118 in 3rd, thats when throw her in neutral to coast back down to reasonable speed, cause 4th in a 4cyl is snails pace

I love this town. So many gorgeous Infinitis, Jags, Lexuses...

So earlier today, during the quiet hours of the late morning, I was changing lanes to catch my Ladue exit, and as I was exiting the highway alongside me on the right was a black 90-93 Q, with local Plaza Infiniti dealer labels, that cut right in front of me and merged left.

Wanting to get another look, I skipped my exit and continued on. This woman was in the far left lane hauling a$$, and I continued passing other cars on the far right lane. We went back and forth getting in front of each other and finally came alongside her in the middle at about 90mph before the highway curved to the right and gave her a nod. She gave me a quick wave and took off. Not wanting a ticket in what I knew was a heavily patrolled area, I slowed down and exited, but man that was a sight. :D

Excerpt:"Frustrated by my nonchalance, he rolled his window down and began yelling and honking to get my attention. I checked my rearview mirror again to make sure that I was clear of any merging traffic. I was. I then slowly turned towards the jerk and the sight of his red face and clenched fists was satisfying in a strange sort of way. Sort of like watching someone get hurt. It's kind of funny, but not really. Anyway, I checked my rearview again to make sure that my path was still clear. It was. With one motion, I raised my hand and returned his screams with a smile and a friendly wave back. I then floored it. My duals and intake roar at wide open throttle and the wheels spun as lurched forward while continuing to wave. Clicked to second with another chirp, and then through the gears to about 95mph before before I slowed to exit a mile later. I never saw him again. Bullies tend to bully people that they think are weaker. That's the nature of a bully. Watch out for a slightly dropped Series 2 Q with true purpose duals. The car hates bullies. "

That was a GREAT story! :D

I have raced my Q against every thing from honda's to lamborghini's. the lamborghini was fun but unfortunatley it was one I did not win. I was driving on a main road in Boise and i saw the ugly car gaining on me quick(ugly becouse it was a brownish gold)I let him pass and saw it was a Diablo. The Diablo took the next side road connecting to a four lane road that douse not have heavy traffic. I became very exited at this point becouse I was positive I could get him to race me with just a little bit of taunting. I shifted to 2nd and chassed him to the next stoplight. At the light I put the Q in N and reved it a little the guy in the Diablo was not impressed by my taunting, but I could tell it did the trick becouse he was looking at the other stoplight waiting for it to turn red. As soon as the other light turned yellow he put the Diablo in gear and was looking strait ahead. The light turned green and I slammed the peddle down. The Q to my surprise staid with him until 60, or so I thought. At 60 he looked over at me smiled and punched the Diablo next thing I knew he was 4 car lengths in frunt of me. I thought the rear end of my car fel out. I gave up just in time to see a honda civic pull out of a parking lot and almost hit the $250,000.00 car.

Exactly the point.

If anyone doesn't care enough to use English at least the third grade level, he probably doesn't want his posts to be read nor to be understood anyway. Languages have universal rules so that anyone who understands these rules can read or converse with anyone else who observes these rules for any given language. Anything else is just meaningless gibberish.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45

The guy is probably just sick and tired of people telling him what to do(as most of us are!), so this is how he rebels. Pretty mild compared to some rebellions.

he car has been drilled and lightened where possible (and safe) and I was able to shave 220+ lbs. without removing any interior luxury items.

Sounds great, so if you dont mind me askin how did you lighten it up, also Tvingince has a nice cold air intake for your car that has been dyno proven, once again great car.:)

I have an interesting story to tell about an encounter i had while driving on South I-275 in Cincinnati toward KY.... i was driving my old 1989 pontiac bonneville brute of a car down the four lane split highway with the music blasting. i was in the fast lane in mild traffic going about 70-75 in a 55(construction zone) well i wasnt really paying attention to the rearview mirror, just driving along smoothly when i just glance in the mirror to a cop right on my arse with his lights on and siren blaring(noticed after i turned off the radio). I had to do a double take i couldnt believe it. I thought i was done for so i merge right and get ready to pull off into the shoulder when he pulls up alongside me, glares at me a second, then smirks and pulls away fast with his lights still on. he speeds down the road and gets off at the next exit.

not to say ive never been pulled over, i was shakin in my boots and nervous as hell :D i guess i was pretty lucky!:ylsuper

Normally, I try to be very methodical and precise about my writing, but I cannot help posting the following. It is indeed very interesting!

I copied this post from another forum for G35's. It is pretty good, thought I would share it with everyone. Re: EVERY1 POST WINS/LOSSES HERE..EVERY1 PARTICIPATE!! [re: Sloneek] RaySur350GT (Enthusiast)09/25/03 10:25 PM

My win win win race list:

1) ECONO Green Garbage truck- Thing stank soo much I had to show him whats up. He tried to race me on the freeway and he has a bigger engine, turbo, and more gears than I can count. But he knew what was up when all he saw was the red LEDs.

2) MACK Truck, another SOB thinking that bigger is better. Killed him by 10 cars in reverse.

3) Brown UPS truck, man these trucks never learn. Took him out on the twisties on the mountain run. He tried to get ahead of me from the outside, so I did the gutter turn trick like Takumi and the UPS truck couldn't handle my awesome turn. He tried so hard that his truck overturned and fell off the side of the mountain. G35 1 - UPS 0

4) High School Kid on a 10-speed. Now youth don't mean crap here. Kid tried to cut me off on the 4-way stop by launching ahead of me. I can hear him chirping all the way to 5th gear. No match for my 3rd gear though. I pulled ahead of him and gave him the scare by swerving close to him and making hit into 5 garbage cans. MUHAHAHA

5) Granny in a Pink Cadillac: Experience here didn't mean nothing. I pretty much showed her who the better driver is. I don't care if she been driving for 80 years, my pinky has more race knowledge than she will ever know. We pulled to a red light and I knew she wanted my lane. Light turned green and she took off and got the jump ahead of me. I went "Ah hellz nah!" I caught up to her and threw her my \/\/estsyde with my hand. Then she right there froze up thinking that I'm a hardcore gangster about to cap her dusty azz. Her car then went up part of the curb and flipped 8 times in mid-air and crashed into a milk truck. Milk truck blew up like a bomb! Good thing I waxed my car the day before so I have less drag to get out of there in time....

Oh yeah, I also raced an E36 and won twice... But who cares about that.

- Don't argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.=P-

hhaa, tht was funny. and that thing about not having to spell correctly, is amazing, i ha dno problem at all reading it, but never really thoughgt about that kind of stuff working, we should use it against the opponents in the war, they'd never figure that out
