well i got my piping pro intake today. and i must say i am not that impressed. i think i will end up cutting it shorter. because with my z32 maf it jams my intake cone on top of my fuse box. and i dont liek that. plus i think my cone will be up to high and resting on the cone. which makes it rub. so i will figure soemthing out.

tom got his intake from them and he had to trim it a little bit as well. its a nice looking piece but for the price i'll just stick with my $25 intake. after cutting a few inches off though, u should have no problems

my new greddy cold pipe.my new cs radiator hosesmy new spark plugs.i was a little confused when i got these, because they said NGK Iridium IX. but then the number says. thisso they must be heat rang 8 and the IX is part of the name

any how. here i cs coolant overflow tank. phase2 was out, heavy throttle was out. so FRP sports was the only place that had them. an it will be easy to install. i allready bent the tabs and such.my new mishimoto radiator. very much a quality piece.

and some pics of waht my engine looks like minus my catch can that will come in tomorrow. it is pretty badas$

ok so i went to fill my transmission today. and i took the filler thing out of the side. and was filling though the shifter hole. and i figured that when stuff came out the fill hole i would know that i had the right amount of fluid in it. well i put 3 quarts in and never ad any fluid come out. i was like .

so how much transmission fluid is there suppose to be. i heard 2.4 quarts but that didnt seem like enough. my transmission was drained completely. so please? tell me lol.

oh i found out today my dad is leaving next sunday and wont get back until april 2nd. so all my plans for getting the car finished for spring break are screwed. i will still try getting my car started in the next couple of weeks.

That C/S tank raelly is a nice piece for you S13 guys!

But some more things that I ponder now (just thinking out loud)

1. Your throttle cable/bracket. I STRONGLY suggest that you ensure that you've got it adjusted properly (as in, wot on the TB is when you're at the pedal stop in the footwell area). If not, you will need to be damn careful about 'dropping the hammer' and breaking the TB

2. BOV Reciculation. You're going to need to also get that sorted out.

3. Intake support. Certainly make sure you support that intake somehow/way. You don't want that MAF bouncing all over/vibrating off of t he fender well.

4. Use constant torque clamps on your sillicone couplers and radiator hoses. Worm gear and T bolt are known to tear them up.

Again, not picking, just some cocerns and thoughts.... :D

^thanks for the info codyace! i had never heard of constant-torque clamps. After researching them a bit, they seem awesome.

1. we will get that sorted out the throttle cable. it is on the list.

2. i am going to run uncirculated right now. and if it doesnt run well i will change it

3. the intake is just sitting there right now i am going to rig up a support

4. i am going to use t bolt clamps. i had worm clamps before and they popped off al the time

some good points codyace. iirc the intake pipe comes with a support bracket (or at least tom's did) and for running unrecirculated. what bov do u have again (i wanna say ssqv and i think thats right)? i know u'll have trouble running unrecirculated with some bovs without tuning or safc or eids but fyi i run my ssqv to the atmosphere with no problems, solid idle and no tuning or compensation for the bov unrecirculated

I've got a Type S that I bought nearly 5 years ago still on my 240 hehe. It was originally on my Altima.

But again, when you do the silicone, be very careful with those T bolts. I used them on my Altima, and we realized how much it 'tore up' the actual sillicone couplers that we decided to not use them again. When the new redesigned Tiburons came out, my buddy and I fabbed up a kit for them using T bolts, and had the same issue again. Constant torques went on that car as well.

The constant torque clamps are very very popular on big trucks (Family owns a big truck repair shop, so I get to check out tons of different turbo applications), and are really slick. YOu just tighten them until the 4 washers stop spinning...then you're good :D No bending pipes, and very very slim/easy to fit. Best of all it's a normal 3/8" bolt on them, that you can use a wrench, or stubby on (unlike a T bolt where you need a deepwell....helps for more 'hidden' applications)

Don't get me wrong, T bolts work, just something I've discovered :D

And recirculate....you'll soon see and have a better running and acting car. Again, 5 years ago I ran my Altima unrecirced with the BOV tight as hell and had issues. Ever since recircing I had zero issues...and nor Have I had an issue ever since. Some cars do run open with no issue, but IMO only on lower boost smaller turbo cars (low air flow)

i dont know what counts as low boost ( im at 14 pounds) but iirc the ssqv can work unrecirced because its a pull type. some push types dont run very well when un recirced though

my intake did come with some support brackets but i dont know how well they will wrok. we will figure soemthing out. cause i hate it when stuff isnt secured down. i hate loose, rattly stuff.

as far as bov i am going to run uncirculated with my hks ssq bov. with my enthalpy tuned ecu it will be fine. because it will only be until my clutch gets broken in and then i will dyno it and send it in for a reflash.

but i just have a ton of little things to do. lengthing wires mostly. then hooking up fuel lines. which wont take long. then it is just time to prime oil lines and make sure everything is connected. and no leaks.

i want to get all my gauges wired up beforei start it. but i might only hook up my boost gauge. because my dad doesnt wantto install all my gauges until the wind sheild is out getting replaced.

My front windshield is perfect but i busted out my rear window couple weeks ago.... I'm trying to look into either getting a personal loan for a motor swap in my 240 or trading both my s13 and z32 for a 240 that's got everything i want... So far no luck but yea.......
