we got a big problem here, well not really big, but i almost lost all my shims, the guy that washed my head and changed the springs found them in his parts washer. now i have to figure out where exctly they go, i hope they are al lthe same size and then i can just put them in. this sucks awww.

yea. but i guess all the stock shims are the same size, after reading so it isnt that huge of deal. just involves removing the cams and looking at the rocker arms t o see which goes where

ohh yes thats right for a second i thought you were running a SLA setup like i am from the past few times we talked.

and yes IIRC the guide (its the one with the slot in the middle) goes on the left side of the rocker arm and the shim goes on the righthand side. Also all the stock Guides and shims are 3mm so that wouldent be a big problem just make sure their all their 8 guides and 8 Shims, and your set.

hey thanks. yea i looked at pics and it looked liek the sloted on goes on the left, wit hte shim on th right, and i heard they were all 3mm too so should be fine.

lol Cool im glad i can Help.

All im waiting on is a oil return line for my topmount turbo setup. Then to finish putting on my R33 F/R Brake conversion i cant wait its gonna be so badass.

OK I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW........

i finally pulled my self together and started working on my car.things i did tonihgt. startting at 5:00-5:30: changed the oil in my accord5:30-7:30: pulled cams back out of head. pulled rocker arms out of head put Shims back in correct places Put rocker arms back in Installed new intake cam to replace broken one put exhasut cam in tightend them down put sprockets back on rotated crank until silver links on chain lined up with dimple on sprocket flushed out front of block chain tensor installed CAS installed Freshly painted valve cover put onso basically my head is completely together. to hopefully never come off again.

can see my timing is at 10 and 12 o nthe silver links too ka while of turning the crank to get thisCAS is on 15 degrees just like factory.pic of head with everything in it.an other oneeninge wiht head on, on standwith vavle cover on painted gree with a few layers of clear coat.i used paint from shucksthe dupli colori was so excited i took alot of picturesmy new intake anifold studs to replace the ebnt onesanother pic of valve cover on enginevalve cover with spark plug coveri used dupli color gloss black for the spark plug coverthis is one of my favorite pics of the head on the motor and valve coverand i liek this one to, i sanded off the letters before i did the clear coast to make the letters shinny to.this one willl look alot better with my new turbo and manifold on it hehe and for kicks and giggle a pic of put shop. my dads mr2 that he is puttign an exhuast ssytem on and upgrading to drilled and sloted brakes, and my 240 i nthe back ground.

so to let you all know what i did to night again i will quote my self

That valve cover is sexy as hell!! What kind of paint did you use to paint the spark plug cover?
