Tom has a set of J30 brakes, which are the same as Q45 brakes, I'm sure he'd sell them. The rotors just need to be resurfaced and calipers rebuilt.

^ yeah we did. and i have an idea t orun by you soemtime again to.

so little update. my car isnt wanting to idle very well now. i think i need to mess around with the iacv and check for small vacuum leaks. and then set the timing. vacuum leak tester isnt that great but it works.

yeah vacuum is at 15 right now. so i have to have some leaks some where. my pressure tester sucks though. and i need to adjust the iacv...

i am pretty sure i am going sh*t my pants the first tiem i feel boost hit.

i started it up yesterday and rev it up to like 6000 grand and the bov at that was so fvcking loud. my budy was standing infront of it and it blew his shirt up into his face haha. it is crazy. on the street with the resistance of the wheels o nthe ground it will boost harder and go off louder.

yeah mine are odd ball sized tires. 350 shipped was a great deal though.

Lookin' good man. I'm glad its running well. I knew it was something timing related. Good work.

You're learning how to do things right. +1

How did the idle adjustment today go? I'm assuming perfectly since you didn't update and you're probably still working on it

I messed around with it a little but hadnt updated cause i have been busy trying to get homework done that is due tomorrow.

But yeah i upluge the TPS and was setting the idle using the iacv andi got it pretty much set and it was idling fine, then i plugged the TPS back in and it died like instantly.

not sure waht the deal is. i think i need to set the timing with a gun still and that is part of it. i have tell the end of April to get it figured out. plus i still have to pull it apart and shim the valves correctly.

Oh sure sure! I had put one together with it being a tooth off on the crank once, and we could only ever get the timing to adjust to 19 base, with the CAS at full click. Obviously the car spooled super fast, but it wouldn't have lasted there for long hehe.

I have a set of those Federals on the back of my car, and LOVED them on track days. They don't last very long, but a nice 'bargain' tire IMO. Great in the rain too!

well thisis my 7000 post i figured i would make it in my build thread. my idle is still being gay. sometime it works goo sometimes it doesnt and when i try holding at one rpm at anything under 3000 its rough. like it bouncesa little. so i am not sure why it does that.

Hey Ben. When you were taking out your SR did you leave the transmission on?

yes it is way easier that way. i would sugest pulling it with the motor mounts too. there is 3 bolts on the drive lline or you can undo all 6.. 4 for the transmission crossbrace. and the motor mounts are 2you want ot drain your transmission fluid before you do it though. cause more then likely the spline will pull out, and you want to take the shifter out too. then it will be easy.
