its good to see the downpipe design has changed, and u better hope the intercooler pipe design has changed as well. And its gonna suck if the oil lines supplied are a different an size than the turbo. http://www.pegasisauto.com if they are. And my intercooler kit was missing the red filter so i wound up having to hack the 90 bend on my old intake to make a 45 bend, im using a breather filter on the crankcase vent and no recirc BOV so it worked out to look cleaner. Yes i had all of these issues and then some but marc worked with me with a good attitude every day i called him every 10 minutes. In the end im happy but im glad i had the local resources i do cause for others it may have sucked more. Good luck and if u want hit me up on aim if u got any issues, ive had this kit installed for almost a year now.~Sam

just as a referance, since this pic ive painted the 45 bend a flat black.and here is the intercooler installed, cant see the 2 pipes i had to extend extend in order for it it fit propperly.

If u want some ideas as far as mounting brackets go hit me up and i can get u some pics of the ones i fabricated, really easy once the measurments were right.hope this helps all futer, and current IAP customers.~Sam

Less personal commentary, more discussion of the turbo kit!

A few quick notes, as I have been awake for 28 straight hours and am about to pass out:

Got mine Friday. Box was just as demolished, UPS can kiss my arse. Marc, I took pics for you. We need to bend them over.

Kit is GORGEOUS. I am SO impressed, can't wait to start the install....

More later.

WTF? Your box was crushed and **** too? WTF?!?!?! MARC, could it be the boxes are weak? Maybe put some wood in the boxes to keep structure?

How much does the whole package weigh?

I wouldn't expect a regular box to hold up to 50-100 lbs, especially if it's a big box. The fact that it happened on two separate occasions shows that it's not UPS's fault, it's the box's fault.

You'd be surprised. Packing was pretty decently done.

UPS sucks for several reasons.

ONE - They're union, which means it's damn near impossible to fire (or even discipline) someone for abusing a package.

TWO - They don't care about the packages, and anything over 50 lbs is gonna get treated roughly (they don't like to take the extra effort to lift it appropriately).

THREE - They're in a big hurry, because they don't have the resources to compete with Fed-Ex and now DHL.

They consistently demolish packages for me (BRM).

I'll be filing a complaint.

Dude, no offense, but there's very detailed directions.

And that last sentence makes NO sense.

Hope you're putting more care / patience into your install than your typing...

Take a nap, have a good meal, send your friend home, and start over tomorrow.

yeah when your installing a turbo kit you can get quite impatient because it seems like it doesnt work. remember nothing fits PERFECT...you always have to adjust and make it work...people here have gotten it done so theres no reason why it shouldnt work..

good luck

A couple quick words on the kits for our new family:The kits all include a Greddy Type RS BOV just for NICO, the Walbro 255 LPH High Pressure fuel pumps and SHIPPING to the continental US. All kits I/C piping and couplers will be black unless otherwise noted by the customer. The wastegates dump to atmosphere, many attempts have been made to reroute the exahust gasses back into the downpipe and boost creep occurs. The only things not direct fit in the box are the wastegate dump tube and the intercooler mounting brackets. Only reason for this: all of our cars are aging and many of us are the 2nd, 3rd or who knows what owners of them. Things like hoses, braces, suspension parts and bumpers move over time, Nissan didn't always make them 100% exact, or the car has been in a fender bender which makes it impossible to have a perfect fit on everyone's cars. What IS included are the brackets themselves (you drill for best fit) and a flange and dump pipe for the wastegate (you fit and have aimed to your liking).

Maybe you are missing someting? I would look around for it, its gotta be there.

Hey guys!

Nice to see everything is going ok

Justin, if you need help, call, a couple of us are in the shop tonight working on kits so feel free up to about 11 PM. Yes, we keep Sunday hours too so we don't dissappoint customers with timeframes.

I checked your packing list and it says you got the wastegate dump tube and Greg as well, double check for us and if it is indeed missing somehow, we will send you one out ASAP. If it is missing and you want to drive the car, feel free, we ran a couple cars around here without dump tubes for over 2 years with no problems other than annoying black crud in the engine compartment. Let us know and good luck!!

When I had to rotate it to face down while retightening one of the bolts head snapped off.Don't know what I'm goign to do.I have to work 70hrs this week.Maybe They'll let me take off tuesday afternoon so I can work on it for 5hrs. You got a pic of the dump tube?I showed import what I had and he didn't see it.I don't remember ever seeing it it, but maybe one of my friends grabbed it..Thanx for your help.Worst case scenario it'll be boosting next sunday.I can take my IC pipes in and get beads put on them now

I'm really looking forward to your end result Florida240sx. I'm interested in this kit myself, so if you would be able to post pics and a dyno sheet when your done, that would be great. Good luck with the rest of the install.

Justin,

If its one of the small bolts on the turbo you can get one at any Tractor Supply Company. The size you need is M8x15mm. Hope that helps, btw, don't crank em down like that! :P

We'll have to scrounge up a pic of that one as we don't have one available yet. Next day or so

Let us know if you need any help with anything else.

Greg- Just a small 1 1/2" pipe looks like the greater portion of U bend, maybe 125 degrees radius remaining on it. Check yours and same thing, if it got overlooked somehow let us know and we will fix ASAP.

Thanks guys!

You did what?? Jeeeez dude, SLOW DOWN!

There is no reason you should be breaking heads off of brand new bolts! I could see maybe some rusted POS exhaust bolt or something, but we're talking about fresh out of the factory brand new hardware! You really need to slow down this process man. Take your time and dont let ANYTHING make you feel rushed or stressed out, because thats when big mistakes happen. Your charge pipes I'm sure you can easially figure out if you just sit down and stare at em for a while-- or read the instructions I'm not sure how detailed they are.

Florida man, take your time! Just because this is a kit doesnt mean you can just rip stuff apart and then bolt it all back up again. You HAVE to be careful and think about each step!

Good luck bro, any further problems please post about em and we'll all be here to help.

UPS shipping is horrible with large packages. we took three of out Foxbody turbo kits up to the UPS loading docks informed them that these were highprice shipments. they proceeded to throw them from the truck into the loading bay then bounce them into the warehouse, and one guy even kicked a box a few times attempting to move it. all while we were sitting there slack jawed... now if they treat the cargo like that infront of the customer shipping it i can only imagine the crap they do once its out of sight.

Marc i would deff File some complaints! make enough noise and you might even beable to get lower rates

UPS is fired. All new shipments go out FEDEX as of now.

Greg-Let us know if there ia anything too badly damaged and you too Justin, we pay for insurance so they will have to square up, plus we have a plethora of attorneys who are bored, we don't want anything from them except packages to reach our customers as they should.

Thanks guys and let us know if we can help in any way.

Go Fast laying the smack down. BTW, admins, why don't you give GoFast a custom rank like "Import-AutoPerformance" or something... and get that "1" out of his anme.. ;-)
