I have a pretty reliable source that tells me Nissan here in Japan has something planned for the subcompact/compact market.
If I can get more info on that, I will.
Outstanding!!Gold Digger wrote:Oh...and one more thing.

From what I've read, it's more Subaru's car than theirs except for the direct injection system (then again doesn't Toyota own a portion of Subaru now?). The FRS is a little bit nicer looking though.Dittoz7 wrote:About time, last car Toyota made I actually liked was the GS300.
Quick someone slap a S16 badge on it.
If only the Miata had a hatch back version. I could carry my race tires more easily. Sigh.PapaSmurf2k3 wrote:Christine has itJesda wrote:
Hey Mazda, where's your Miata coupe?

Eikon wrote:Nope.. still going Rally Blue.. That grey color was the just the nicest picture I could find at that moment.
Here's a better one:
The 2012 V6 Genesis will come with 350hp.Eikon wrote:I like the new Gen coupe as well, but it's supposed to be 3400 lbs at a minimum. While 275 hp is great, the extra weight hurts the cause a lot. Still.. it is a tough call.
All things aside, unless you're out there every weekend, hunting for seconds, scratching your head on how to find time and struggling for dominance over your class, fretting about a couple hundred pounds on a car is silly. It'd be like worrying that you cannot take a zero-g crap in your bathroom even though your house isn't blasting off to the Moon.Gold Digger wrote:And your point being what?Eikon wrote:I like the new Gen coupe as well, but it's supposed to be 3400 lbs at a minimum. Nissan did the same thing with the GT-R and look how well that thing performs stock? The R33 was the first to break the 8 minute barrier for a production car around the Ring. Only 276HP and weighed just as much.
The R32-R34 were all heavy due to the all wheel drive system, but they still performed beautifully, even in stock trim.
Its not even just about the difference in weight. The BRZ/FRS flat-4 sits low giving a lower center of gravity. That helps a lot with the dynamics of the vehicle. At the very least, it made the engineers' jobs easier to reach a performance benchmark.Eikon wrote:I disagree.. 600 pounds is something you notice.
If it were 100 or maybe 200 pounds then I would agree with you.
the genesis is over priced for what it is, if it was about 5-7k cheaper id say you have a really good bang for your buck. For the same amount of money your in C5, C6, M3, G35, 350z territory, and my god the genesis is FUGLYsbird1 wrote:Sorry for all of the Genesis talk, but I see them every day. They just gave the Genesis a facelift and the interior got a revamp. It looks awesome. Not as awesome as the BRZ though! If they're going to make it as exclusive as it sounds, you should really hang on to that thing. Might be worth some coin someday.
Prices never translate like that. A lot of things are more expensive in Great Britain than the US. For instance, brand new video games go for the equivalent of 78USD in Britain. Car prices are the same. A Mazda 3 starts at $15k or £14k. Mazda 6 starts at £17k or $20k (not exactly comparable models, though...they get a 5-door and we get a sedan with a trunk). A new Civic starts at $15k or £16k.Space Monkey wrote:http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/motors ... rts-coupe/
According to this it is set for 25,000 pounds...That is close to 40K USA / CAD.
