My wipers turn on when I need them too, but when it stops raining my wipers dont turn off when I put the stem in the OFF position. I'm guessing there is a problem with the electrical? Intermittent does not work for me either. It's not like they dont work haha they just dont turn off(unless I turn off my car)Any advice or opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks

nope sorry... you might wanna check out the regional forums, I'm sure someone there can point you in the right direction, not to mention you might even meet other members and get hook ups on parts n sh1t... who knows?

theres a test forum that you can always test sh1t out without having a mods rail you... post up pics to find out how big it will look on a post.

hmm... not sure, never had that problem, it could be a bad relay... or a simple faulty switch. I know for sure that its a pretty common problem for the light switch to go bad over time... maybe this could be similar?

Try this one out for starters (since its free). Hopefully you have another friend that has an s13 that has a well working windshield wiper switch. Now switch with your friend's wiper switch, and see if it fixes it. If it does, then you know your problem.

check back after you give it a try.

Newbie here....First of all i just wanna say this site is awesome....very helpful....anyways about a month ago i bought a 1990 Nissan 240SX hatchback from a local junkyard for $600...Since i got it i been planning out everything i wanna buy for it to try to pull between 400 to 500hp...i want it to be an all around car( daily driver, show car, drift, and drag)....So i have a few questions.....

1.is 400 - 500hp proper for all that or should i go less?

2.other than the cost of the engines what would be the approx differance(money wise) to drop in a s14 vs. s15?

3.i am currently interested in puchasing a steering wheel from a 2000 Nissan Silvia to put into my 1990 240SX...the steering wheel is a Silvia SRS with an airbag...Don't believe my stock wheel has one so my question is will it fit?

S15 will be more expensive to put in. Alot more wiring and crap.

400 to 500 horsepower is a ridiculous amount of power for a daily driver, especially in a 240sx. 250 - 300 rwhp is great for a daily and still a ton of fun. It is also kind of unreasonable to have a car that will be good as a DD, drift and drag car, since everyone requires different engine, suspension and tire set up. You will spend alot of money, and not get the results that you want out of it. Sit down, do some research, decide specifically what your goals are, and then figure out what parts you need to meet those goals. Also, if possible try to drive other people's modded 240sx so you can feel what different power levels and suspension setups are like.

yeah i guess thats true...Well when i say drag i just mean run a decent quarter time...wouldn't be dragging every week but i really wanna learn to drift...i got the inside all stripped out so far and the engine is ready to come out and be sold...Like i said just trying to figure out everything i'm gonna need...So i definately wanna go with the S14...Any suggestions on other major parts to sut up for drift? and thanks for the input!...I could use all the help i can get cause i'm just learning.

the way i did mine was deleting the current sig pic. Then in photobucket i deleted the pic i had to resize. Then i reloaded the pic on photobucket and edited the image size. Then i put it in my sig and it worked for proper sizing.

Ok, let me give you some money advice. If you can, go with the s13.It is less expensive to purchase, it is less expensive to repair and less expensive to maintain. You can also get parts easier. For example, go to 75% of the vendors here on Nico and they have approximately a 2 to 1 ratio on s13 to s14 parts. Plus they are more expensive. When you get to upgrading your engine with injectors and boost (which you will do if you want to drift) You will need to manage your engine. There are very few EMS(engine management systems) that help you take advantage of VVT(variable valve timing) on the s14(which is primarily what the s14 has over the s13). The ones that do are newer and very expensive.Plus lets say you blow your block or you need a new head...good luck finding one one for an s14.Anyway whatever you decide, make a list...check it twice, and make a budget.

Just copy the image, save it on to your comp, open it in mspaint, or any other image editing thing, change the dimensions, save it, and re-upload it.

photobuckets wack... I use flickr now. They automatically resize pics for you and the pics aren't blocked by my work filter like photobucket is.

look at your wheels, if it has 5 lugs, and it is stock (ie, not converted from a 4 lug), then you have ABS. You could also pop the hood and look for an ABS module. If you do have ABS, it means you also have a limited slip rear differential.

my slave cylinder went out on me last weekend, and it's doing it AGAIN tonight. i NEED this to be working tomorow for drifting in manasses. basicaly it loses all pressure when i press on it multiple times. the more i press, the more pressure that it loses, then it goes all the way to the floor, gradually. if i pull it back up with my foot after it hits the floor, it regains pressure/stiffness and same thing happens again. is this my slave cylinder going out? or do i just need to bleed it again? i have an exedy stage 2. is the pressure plate too much for this slave cylinder? do i HAVE to upgade to a nismo? i used the same oem slave cylinder on my exedy stage 2 for about 7 months through many clutch kicks and dumps and burn outs, and it held up fine until that one night. the new one i got is 18$ from advanced auto...

Sounds like it could be your master cylinder. Check at the slave, and if it isn't losing any fluid, replace the master, do the clutch box removal mod, and bleed the crap out of it. If you are in fact blowing slaves that quickly, you might have broken your pivot fork bolt, and you will have to drop the transmission to replace that. Pray you didn't break that.

I knew youd answer his question i reffered him here

I just realized that what youre experiencing is how i bought my car, The pivot bolt in the transmission had snapped in half, my clutch pedal would remain on the floor and id have to pump it by bringing it back up myself. If thats the problem ud have to drop your transmission to fix it. Id replace it with a nismo piece i saw for sale on either mynismo.com or phase2motortrend.com They say its much more stronger and can take the abuse.

This is the bolt papasmurfs talkin bout:

Good assist.

I beleive that I bought mine from SPL. Some kind of hardend carbide steel bolt. I think I paid around $35 shipped. Sucks, but if its broken, you have to replace it.

Will Type X fog lights fit in the Chuki front bumper? Or do I have to go back to oem.

no they wont. you cant use the type x fog housing, but you can use the foglights if you know how to sperate the two.

Anyone know where I can order or get the OEM vented covers? the foglight by itself won't look right.
