idk if it looks sketchy to you guys but theres somethin about it makin me question it lol.your opinions? cos if it checks out i'm down for a trade in on the spot!
Its over priced and written in all caps, no details on the parts, except some are "ORIGUNAL"...I personally refrain from buying cars from people that can't write a decent ad... what makes you think they'll be able to decently take care of the car?

so, this happened once over the summer when i went away for a week... and then again while i was driving. the brake pedal went straight to the floor, not touching the brakes at all. no leaks or anything, and worked fine when i refilled the brake fluid tank, it worked fine. any ideas what might be going on? thanks in advance

Refilled, but no leak...... I would say that your assumtion is wrong and there is a leak and air is in the system.

No clue, ask the titan guys. There may be some known issues witht he VK56 or some TSB's they can let you in on.

Agreed. There is definitely a leak in the system somewhere. Check around the brake master cylinder itself (on the booster side). Even pull the master out of the booster and see if its leaking out of the back. If its all bone dry... start looking elsewhere.

How long does it take to drain it to empty?

Hey guys, two questions:

A) Just recently bought a 240sx that was knocking, friends and I tore it apart, found the timing chain guide nuked itself and starved the engine of oil by clogging the pickup with plastic. Redid all the bearings and put her back together. No check engine light, no knock, but my car shakes a bit when it's idle, it's fine around 900rpm, but shakes at 700. No vacuum leaks, properly grounded. Runs fine, just shakes sometimes. What gives?

B) While I'd love to fix that problem, I'm thinking about investing 5k into the engine. I want to get as close to 350hp as I can with that money. Turbo KA or engine swap? I'd like to have room to upgrade it later down the line as well. Any insights?

Lean/Rich related Could be too much or too little fuel, or too much or too little air. So it could be a MAF, or bad o2 sensor. Stucky, or leaky injector, off ignition timing, or even a misfire,

I think if I were you I would-Check the plugs, wires, cap and rotor. If not new, I would replace them,-Set the timing correctly (timing light)-Check the EGR, and all vacuum lines for leaks (unmetered air)See how it runs. If its still off-clean throttle body, IAC, and pull the injectors (soak the tips only in seafoam) reinstall with new O-Rings-Clean MAFSee how it runs. If its still off-Try to borrow, or get your hands on a new MAF / o2 sensor

S14 has sla mcpherson strut suspension on the front and rear I am pretty sure the maxima doesn't so I it would safe to say that no they won't fit. But you could do a quick check and call a parts store(autozone, advanced, napa...)and ask them if the part numbers are the same for the struts on each car.

I haven't posted in a while because things have been really bad lately. My 97 kouki was stolen and stripped. The caught the guys who did it and now everything is wrapped up in court and crap. But they totaled my car cut the harneses frame it was just completely stripped and un salvageable. Insurance company gave me some money but not enough to get another kouki. So I am going to be 240 less for a while until I can sue the guys for everything they have and get another one. So now I am running a 01 nissan sentra se, man I miss my kouki.

Man that sucks... tell your insurance company you want more cash... or buy the car back and sell it as a shell (if the body is good) to try and get more cash. People would buy it up for an SR swap.

You can try a baking soda+ water solution, or Coca-cola... Then try and scuff it up with some sandpaper and hit it with some dielectric grease.

Do I necessarily need overfenders if I want to run bbs rims 18x8 +35 in the front and 18x8 +35 on my 92 vert?

Nope, you shouldn't need overfenders for that at all.

I run a 17x9+35 with room for 285/40/17's on my S13 with no pull or over-fenders. You can clear up to the 10inch range with decently sized tires at certain offsets. Some have done 11's with a pull, stretch and camber, but "fitment" to me if a tire that fits and not stretched on to run over-sized wheels just to look "cool"

ok, so it seems that I don't need overfenders at all... which is a relief. but I originally planned to use the over fenders to cover up the little bit of rust i have I have on the lower part of my quarter panel as per the picture

do aftermarket rear bumpers "wrap" around the whole bottom of the quarter panel? in my case... would I be able to just cut out the part with the rust and have an aftermarket bumper cover up the metal i cut off?

u fellas are awesome btw

Why not fix the rust properly? It doesn't look like a lot of work.

I guess I could do that anyway... but if the rear bumper I plan on getting(chargespeed kit) wraps around and completely covers the rusted area... why not just completely cut out the cancer?

That is more of a spoke design than an offset design.

So, I'm pretty new to the car game and bought a 240 a few months back.

I have no working lights in my car. No dome light. No cluster gauge. Clock does not read a time and Radio does not come on anymore. Does anyone have any idea what's going wrong? The car starts up and everything.
