Alright, so why do some Silvia corners have different shades of amber? Examples:

I have a pair of immaculate corners with light amber shade like the first picture and I have a pair of worn out corners with a darker shade of amber like the second picture. Is it because of sun fading? Different manufacturing years? Anyone know the answer to this, it just makes me wonder.

Look how some clear headlights get a yellow tint overtime... I'm sure that's the same thing...

it probably has to do with the years manufactured. Maybe a different vendor,.

Not sure about that, I thought the tilt was achieved in the column and not at the hub. I would also like to know.

used ngk iridium plugs, when installing the last plug it felt like the threads did not settle like the rest (the plug tightened all to soon)...taking a shot at myself but i believe the engine would not perform if such was the case!??

Yo hey guys new here, finally got an account but been on here just searching for the past year lol. Ive used the search button to find my answer but apperantly i havent searched enough.

Question: Will a 5 spd ecu from cali cause high idle or any abnormal idle since i do not have the egr temp sensor that the cali s13 came with? Thanks

Yeah cause my s13 used to have an auto ecu, so i poped in a 5spd one and it idles a lot better still stays stuck at 1.8k rpm then dropes to about 1k to 1.3k. Really weird, i adjusted tps and iavc, cleaned it new plugs, wires etc. I did check the egr valve. reved the car to 2k rpm and checked if there was spring action and it should have lifted yet it didnt. Is my egr valve gone bad? Thanks OutToWinPAHC

350s are a dime a dozen. The problem is the weight of them. Of course, you can make a s***load of power with them though.

If you get an all aluminum 350 such as an LS series engine, they actually weigh a little LESS than a stock KA.

Can't seem to find a writeup or video on how to fiberglass then bondo holes in the body. Such as on the rusted hatch of 240sx.

If you pick up the Bondo fiberglass repair kit (made by 3M), there are instructions right on the box. I actually just used it, and it surprisingly laid down REALLY nicely. Then again, 3M makes awesome stuff... and Bondo just slapped their name on it. Let me know if you have any questions.

New to 240's. I

I am looking at buying an s13 with the RB20DET already swapped. The current owner claims to be the one who did the swap. Everything seems solid on the car but it has a bad grind when going into 2nd. He says that the transmission in it was from the KA.

Can a KA transmission be used with the RB20 and if so how long before the transmission cant handle the extra HP?

He is asking $4000 with the car which includes some nice gauges and coilovers installed. Is this a good price?

Thanks in advance!

AFAIK, the KA transmission will NOT bolt up to the RB in any way. I'm pretty sure it doesn't stock, but I'm not sure if its possible to make an adapter plate.

You might want to check in the RB sub forums though. Get some pics of the car and post it up there.

ok so i went to a shop and its gonna cost me 200 to pull the head to see whats wrong and then a trip to a machine shop to get something cut then plus parts and s***. the guy told me that im looking at around 800 to 1000 for all this but if its something simple he said 600 cause it wont have to go to a machine shop. Now after after all that, i got a friend that knows a guy that will sell me a motor (that he says runs) and he will install it for 500(500=price of motor and installation). hes selling the motor cause hes doing a sr swap. the motor is stock and is from a auto. plus the guy said if the motor doesnt run or some s*** he'll give me my money back. what would be better to do?

I'd probably go with the other motor. How many miles are on the one you have?
