You probably won't have a problem just bolting all the s*** on, but getting it to fit right, and look good might be tough. You might get lucky and have everything fit correctly and line up right off the bat, but its pretty rare.

EDIT: 100 pages of helping newbs!

yeah. the 5 lug hubs from a 5 lug s14 will work. i personally have never seen a 4 lug s14 till yesterday when i was browsing around online.

EDIT: http://cars-pickup-truck.blogs....html about half way down the page is the s chassis information. i found it pretty interesting.

Will a cylinder head from an Infinity G20 interchange with the one on my redtop sr20det? Are there any differences internally? (cams, valves, etc)Thanks!

Both of you guys might want to put those questions in the SR forum...

Vitosr240- you are going to have to describe what you are talking about a little more... maybe include a picture or 2.

the saying goes " you get what you pay for" the top ones are wicked tuning tension rods, the bottom ones are egay. they dont look very different but im sure quality is an issue with the knock offs. personally i would go with a brand name part, esp for suspension/steering parts.

wicked tuning rods

egay rods

Misfire, injector, lazy 02 sensor, maf. Give her a full going over, and try replacing the cap, rotor, plugs, cleaning the MAF (MAF cleaner only), and check for o ring leaks on the fuel rail.

When cleaning the MAF, how should it be done? Spray the inside walls and let it dry? Any rubbing?

Im going to junk yard to find a exhaust manifold and down pipe tomorrow to replace the junk that was put by the previous owner.

Is there anything specific that I have to look out for? rust, crack ? and where?

thanks

if the "downpipe" has a flex pipe section in it, check for degradation there. Flex pipe sections tend to be the first to go.

Hi, my name is Van aka TheFilipino1 and I have a question, well maybe more than just one.

I'm doing a build and I'm still new to mechanics in general so I bet I'll be asking a lot of simple or easy questions to the other users and I was wondering if I could start my own question thread for my build or do I have to keep it localized?

also my other question is as I mentioned "build", I'll be wanting to know about the best parts and where to find them and stuff. I know I will be reading through the current threads and stuff for more information about products and options but if worst comes to it I'd like to ask, just cause I'm a newb, heh.

So I believe that is it for now. Thanks for the help. If anyone wants to see my shell I got for my project its in the 240sx section and I got it for $175.

once again thanks all. youve already been so inspirational and helpful.

v/r

Start a build thread, and put everything related to it in there.

Hey everyone I have 2 questions that have been running through my head for a while.

1. Can I use this clear coat http://www.autobarn.net/duausp..._base over enamel paint that requires a spray gun? And if I cant then what would be the best clearcoat to use?

2. My dad took my spare hatch to get the spoiler holes welded and 30 min to an hr after he finished my dad said the glass just shattered. I was wondering what caused this to happen and if I could put the hatch on my car and let the insurance company put another glass in?

Thank you for all your help and information.

Where does the end of the hose that connects to the PCV valve lead to? I changed the valve, but in the process the hose connecting to the valve partially broke off (the hose is rock solid!). I did some ghetto fix for now. Im not positively certain there's a vacuum leak. Some thing I will check later today/tomorrow. Just wanted to know where the end of that hose connects to. Because from what I see, changing it is going to be a mission.

depends on if you want a stretch or a flat side wall.

keep in mind, 255/40 means the tire is 255mm wide, and 40 is 40% of the width ( .4 * 255 ) which equates to 100mm side wall.

there are 25mm in an inch, so you can start designing your own tire setup now.

with extreme stretch if you want to

[ search for the fitment thread, it has dozens of wheel and tire combos. ]

ok i did some checking around under the hood and found a couple of vacum leaks and fuel pressure regulator won't give fuel pressure above 30psi with or with out vacum put to it. i belive i have a bad regulator. according to the tech guide it should be 30+ at idle and 43+ at full throttle or vacum applied. so i think i have found most of my problem. hey i gotta look on the bright side as of right now im getting 25 mpg until i get the fuel reg fixed. then its liable to drop.hahahaha.
