Any suggestions on reliable arma and tie rods???
basically anything not made in China, LOL.

If you're on a budget, I'd go with Tein inner and outer tie rods, and Power by Max rear upper control arms... both of which I found to be decently priced. You can get the tie rods from FRsport (i think theyre in Irvine) for like $130, and PBM rear upper control arms are like $180 (located in San Diego).

At first it would start up and run fine but the tachometer would dip down when I was slowing and sometimes cut the car off. I changed the fuel filter and that didn't change anything but now the car won't start at all unless it has sat for a couple of days. I believe I might have to change the fuel pump, but I'm not for sure. If it does sound like the fuel pump, can anybody direct me to a tutorial or video on how to do it? I'm not a grease monkey but I learn fast so I have a feeling I might be able to do this with the proper guidance. Any help would greatly appreciated and thanks.
Well buddy if I were you I would start out by Seafoaming the car once you get it running. If you don't know what that is, you can search for it. Basically its a can of cleaner stuff you buy at NAPA and run through your brake booster line, and it cleans everything out. After that, your plugs (and O2 sensor) are going to be covered in all the crap you just blew out. You WILL need to replace them.

IIRC, if you buy a Walbro fuel pump (which you probably don't need), it comes with directions on how to put it in. To see if your fuel pump is working, make sure your radio and everything is turned down. You should be able to briefly hear a "hummmm" when you turn your key to the ON position (without cranking).

If you do that stuff, and stuff still doesn't work right, come back and explain whats going on, we will help you further.

I noticed that oil was leaking through the valve cover gasket, so i replaced the broken valve cover gasket and it stopped leaking so much, but it still leaks a little bit from the same spot. When i replace the gasket i didn't use any sealent because the valve cover already had a groove for it. Should i have put some gasket sealent in certain spots?...And I know that there is a sequence to tightenting the bolts on the valve cover, but i didn't find out about that until afterwards, could that have anything to do with it? Is there a red or bright color liquid that u can pour into ur oil filler to see more precisely where the leak is?

You are supposed to put sealant at the cam shaft crescents. It helps the gasket to stay in place better. If it is still leaking, you can just take the cover back off, clean everything really well, and goupe it up a little bit in the problem spot. Silicone valve cover gaskets are relatively re-useable, as long as you do it within a short ammount of time (before they get hard and unflexable). I am unaware of any die that you can put in that would make it more visable. Make sure you torque the bolts down to correct torque ratings. Don't go more, its VERY easy to strip out those tiny alluminum threads (trust me, I know, I've done it).

Try asking in the wheels and suspension forum. Either that, or ask the vendor from which you would be buying the stuff from.

I just bought all the parts needed for a 5 speed swap in a 91 HB. I even have the ECU and trans harness. I haven't started removing/installing any parts yet, but I'm wondering if it's possible to make the clutch interlock work without using the 5 speed dash harness. I have an FSM but wiring diagrams aren't my strong point. I tried searching but didn't see anything about making the interlock work.

Are your tail lights out? If so it's a fuse. The Blue 15 3 fuses from the bottom on the right.

cheap and safe: aftermarket lowering suspension (of even cut springs), a welded diff, and cheapo used tires. You got yourself an easy drift car.

When you plan on upping your game, thats when it gets a bit more technical and expensive.

Hi, I just bought a 89' or 90' automatic 240sx coupe. I'm not sure what year it is because I dont get it till next thursday cause I didnt have the whole 750 for the car so its still in the tow yard. So anyways its in decent shape as far as the outside and motor goes. It has tan interior and the dash is pretty cracked but otherwise its nice, just needs an alternator.

My question is this:If I have the HUD and digital speedometor as well as power locks and windows does that mean I got the higher end SE model or could it still possibly be a base model with added features?? Also what are the differences between the base and SE? THANKS.

not unless you have the HICAS version, they came with a larger sway bar. SE's may have ABS, but that's about the only difference in regards to upgrade. Engine and suspension is the same.

Otherwise, the main difference between SE and base models are just the luxury power options.
