like... air intake, or intake manifold intake? Either one, you should be able to make fit with minimal modification... if any.

I originally planned to start at the FAQ before doing any searching. I clicked on FAQ, and it was in there.

hey guys, im new here - dont even have a 240 yet.i was wondering what the build quality of the 240sxs is? specifically interiors on s13. my mitsu 3000gt is terrible, and this is somthing i care about when looking at a car. thanks.

also - i know this has probably been answered a thousand times - but is it worth it to buy an already swapped sr20det motor in say an s13, or start from scratch?

If there's a banging/clunking sound coming from the rear of the car when I upshift or let off on the gas, it means my differential bushings are going bad, right?

This is in a 1995 240SX.

I'm planning on going to a J30 VLSD soon, and I was wondering if that part would include new bushings. If not, where can I get new ones, and is there another (cheaper?) alternative to having to buy them?

ats the deal with the JDM Koleshiya badges. Jdmpassword sells them magnetic and suction cup. How do you use the magnet one? and if its a magnet dosent that mean someone can just pluck it off the window while im sleeping.

Ok... interior quality is good to so-so. In the S13, the dashes crack. It's not a matter of if, but of when. Otherwise, the interior is alright. The stock seats are uncomfortable, but S14 seats are a lot better. You get a lot of random rattles and squeaks, but that's to be expected on a car as old as the S13.

As far as the rest of the quality, it's pretty good. I'll base my comparisons against the big three and Honda, since that's what I've dealt with. Build quality as far as engineering to remove stupid problems is significantly better than the big three, but not as good as Honda. If they haven't been ragged out and you maintain them, they tend not to fall apart. As far as I'm concerned, the build quality is good enough that I haven't shed myself of my S13's yet.

One point worth noting is that Nissan sucks on making keys and good wiring. The keys like to break off in the locks, and the wiring comes equipped with gnomes and phantoms.

As far as the SR swap, it's up to you. The way I see it is that either way, there's a question as to the engine's history. If it's already swapped, you can often get the engine and car cheaper than if you were to do it yourself, and have the benefit of test driving it. On the other hand, if you swap it yourself, you know how the work was done. It's a toss up, but if it was me, I'd find a decent priced car that was already swapped and keep enough extra change around to fix anything that might go wrong.

I'm tremendously opposed to anything but at most OEM aero so I wouldn't be the best resource for that. If I ever was to get a body kit, for coupe I'd go Origin Labs:

Or Vertex Ridge for hatch:

Just so you know, there is a wheel/suspension forum on this site. Anyway, you will also need to tell us the offset of said rims. Your stock bolt pattern is 4x114.3. I've never run a 9" wide wheel in the back, but I don't see why it wouldnt work as long as you got the correct offset. Maybe you would need a fender roll at most (to make it flush).

alright well im new to this, and i have no idea what size wheels i can get under there. i hear a lot of people talking about 16x8 but im having trouble finding any that look good, or 17x8 if they would fit, its a low budget project for now and my tread is wearing pretty fast, so i just need to know some sizes that fit with little or no modification, and where to order them from.

thanks, hella nub status right here.

A friend of mine is running 9.5 inch 5zigen's +20 in the rear with no problems. It won't be flush as the wheels stick out a bit but the suspension geometry makes it clear under load. At most I'd say you'd need a roll too.

Edit: But like Papasmurf said offset is just as important as size and width. Unless you can post up the offset no one except maybe Neel (amoebassassin) can give you a straight answer.

http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=206395QV did the write-up... you know... the dude that got his 240 in MTV's Pimp My Ride, lol. but if you have any questions, feel free to ask. In the link I provided, he actually pulled his fenders too... I dont think you need to pull, a decent roll is really all you need.

started thinking about whether I'm still a "newbie" or not, realized I should just stick with a post. Also I figured if I had the post, if anyone else was as dumb as me it would help them.

Hey everyone. Name's Josey. I'm in the KC area. I'm looking to buy a 240sx after the 1st of the year. I've always been into drifting and wanting to get into it personally. I've raced an IMCA Modified for about a year with my Dad (Quite a few years ago), and my husband is currently building up his Subaru WRX for Auto-Cross and track.

I'm just on here to chat with people with like interests and hopefully learn something

Sweet, start a thread with pics of the WRX and other previously modified cars. Make sure you put it in Gen Chat and not in 240sx general.
