Whats up guys? This is my first post. I cannot find anybody around my area with SR or RB swapped whip. This is extraordinarily n00bish of me but do sr20's really pull hard? I'd hate to spend the money on a swap and wish i went RB.

Wow, disregard the "pull hard" statement. i realized there will be no pulling rather then pushing... lol i am sorry. Second post and i have already flamed myself, cheers.

power is power, it doesn't matter what 2 letters make it. Look at some dyno graphs and at the power distribution for a setup you would like to run, and make the descision for yourself. Yes, both motors will pull, push, drag, whatever.

I'm glad I finally found heaven... I'm a newbie to this website, a newbie to 240s, but I hate rust all the same. I have a s13 coupe shell and a SR20Det to put in it. BUT I also have a case of 240 rust. Thats my 240 story as of now. Any questions and or concerns pm me. It good to be in heaven finally. HA

Would this be a good site to buy a 180sx/ Silvia from? If i get one here, I'd have to get it imported and i'm in Alberta so shoudn't be too hard?

using SOHC ac compressor with sr20det:

need custom bracket. I know, in fact some guy on some forum has a picture of the one he made. I just cant find it.

if anyone can give me a link to this thread on whatever forum, I would greatly appreciate it. (its the one with the picture of the bracket, which just basically has 4 holes, 2 for engine, 2 for compressor, one pair shifted relative to the other)

Has anyone used Apexi WS coilovers on a 95-98 240? If so, what's the ride like? Performance? Reliability? etc...

I searched the forum and couldn't find anyone talking about this coilover for this model 240, but should this by chance be somewhere in this forum already.... would yall please not rip me a new butt-hole for asking? lol

If anyone could help that would be awesome! thank you

yeah, they're ok. it pulls just like any other 200whp out there (unless all motor). Get an sr... unless you go with rb25/26... rb20's aren't worth the hassle.

I dont remember too sure, but I think the brackets I've seen where only for the dohc ac compressor. there was a company that was in the makes of large production, i think it was called youngandartless or something.... I forgot. good luck...

This is probably the stupidest question, but what throttle sensor type is the sr20det (redtop) reverse or normal? also speed meter pulse = 2p?

hehe, if you are searching for hicus, you won't find much. HICAS was Nissan's version of 4-wheel steering.

If you have a 240 that has HICAS from the factory, you also have a limited slip differential.

You can eliminate the all wheel steering by purchasing a HICAS delete bar; or by just welding one in.

i have a 93 240 hatch. never had any problems with it. so i take my girlfriend out to dinner and the car runs fine. as soon as we get done eating i crank my car up and its idleing horrible. at first my tach was bouncin from about 250 to 1000 rpm. then it chilled back down to its normal idle. but still the car is rocking back and forth horrible. then as im driving i have no power at all. and it sounds like my car is trying to be similiar to a machine gun. can anyone tell me what might be wrong?

sounds like one (or more) of your cylinders isn't firing (for whatever reason). Check your wires, make sure they are still on the plugs. Check your injectors (make sure the clips are still seated), and check your engine grounds. Is the CEL light on (probably not, cos that thing is F'ing useless).

I have a question... Is it possible to drop out the sub-frames and still be able to do a half cut and line it up right afterwards?
