So here's a question. I have an HKS turbo on my SR. I have no idea what model. I know it's old and it was originally bought and put on while over in Japan. I cannot see any model or series number on the front of the compressor housing -- would it be on the rear or on the edge somewhere? I know, it's a seriously noob question, but I can't get down there without pulling out a bunch of other stuff and I have a strict "if-it-ain't-broke-don't-fix-it" policy when it comes to my engine.

Most turbos have an ID plate riveted to the CHRA next to the oil feed.

More than likely it's a T25 variant. I see a lot of HKS turbos use BB T25 assemblies

how cute! someone's trying to tell me how to do something I wrote the book on!

i am guessing you have taken apart the SR20 and noticed that the oil squirters are located under the piston and bolt up inside the bore. They are shaped like a bent L in a way and at the bolt end they have a TIT that comes off of the squirter. This tit fits in a hole in the block as well so when it bolts down it fits only one way. The only way to mod this would be to cut the TIT off and then tighten the piss out of the oil squirter so it doesnt move.
