Looks like a good deal, but I'm always wary of third party brands. Check to see what kind of warranty it is and where the product can be serviced. Usually the prices are so much cheaper because you'd have to send the sucker to Bangladesh to be fixed and it would cost more for you to do that than it would to get a new one.

Look for my TV thread I wrote a while back. Its got some great info in it. FWIW, the Vizio tv's aren't bad at all in their top model trims, and IMO LG makes a damned decent TV.

Of course, always go with LCD and not Plasma. If you watched the tv at my house (can't remember if you did or didn't) that was a top model LG 720p.

Also, find that same TV on Newegg.com and get a MUCH cheaper (and better) warranty, amazing customer service, and a FAR, FAR, FAR better price!!!

^ Well, it seems that I'm a "whore" a "slut" and a "loser."

At least, thats what was written on my car in the snow this morning. I don't know how I got those labels, its been a long time since I've had any sexual intimacy or escapades, and last time I checked, I had a roof over my head, a car that I own, and a job. I can't be that big of a loser....

It appeared to be girl handwriting. Or a gay guy with really decent letter construction.

I guess so. The odd thing is that very few people know where I live or that I moved back to Rhode Island in the first place. It doesn't bother me much and I'll shrug it off to coincidence, but there are a few other cars in the lot overnight, ya know? Heck, I barely made any friends when I lived here the first time because I was only here for ~5-6 months. Most of them were college related and have since moved. I wasn't here long enough to make enemies, lol.

Ill keep that in mind.

I left the guy speechless when I showed up today.

I walked in and set the info I had procured on his desk. I pointed out that the warranty covered seat belts on vehicles from 1989 to 2002 for the useful life of the vehicle. I then pointed out that this warranty included, but was not limited to the spools, the belts, the motors, the tracking, and the buckles. I informed him that I had spoken with Nissan consumer affairs, and had been given the green light for warranty repair.

He just kept looking at the paperwork, and back at me. In the end he set me an appointment to have the car worked on.

I will keep you guys informed if they try to pull anything funny.

A little of both. But I haven't been whoring it up, so that one left me

You can call me a loser all day long if you want, but hey, thats up to you.

Good job kicking a55 at the dealer, Ian. I almost had to do that, but it was something silly when mine stopped working.

I know mine isnt silly.

When I first got the car I pulled all the plastics off and tested the micro switches as well as the motor. I also tried to crank it manually using the manual crank port.

I was only able to move it about half an inch, and it took all of my might. I didn't want to wreck it, so I just tricked the idiot light, so it didn't blink all the time, and got used to unclipping it all the time.

I didnt modify any part of any of the mechanisms. Even if there was some way they could magically know I had removed the trim, they wont be able to prove it had anything to do with the seat belts.

I was smart enough not to muddle in anything when I was working on it originally.

Running cable in ceiling is fun. Not...

I breathed in something that has been up there for a while and my nose didn't like it. I sneezed myself right off a ladder, lol.

Good job with the dealer, FBI.

I just finished a rasterbation of my S13.

I dont know if any of you have ever done, or heard of rasterbating. A rasterbation is an image that have been rendered out of large dots, much like the pictures you seen in the news paper. There is a program available on the internet that automatically renders any image in this fashion, it then splits it up into paper sized pieces so it can be printed out and put together to create a very large image.

Before I was married I had a 10 rasterbation of an S15 steering wheel hanging on the wall.

Ive decided as of late to do a little more of it, just for fun.

I started out small, and used one of the pictures I took when I went to LSPR.

This one took 9 sheets of paper.

What do you guys think?

that's pretty cool. any way to do it while making the seams between the sheets less noticeable?

btw, i just brought the tv home. they only had one dude working the tv dept. so i left, came home, let the dog out, went back and i was loading that bad boy into the truck within 20 minutes. i was there for almost an hour the first time, but he was stuck with indecisive customers. do your research at home and stop holding me up from making a purchase. sucky part is i either have to find some sort of stand for the time being in order to watch it, or wait until i have more time to drill through my wood floor to reroute the wiring to the wall i'll be mounting it on

I think you should take that badboy to a printer in your area. Have em print it up on a 25x38 sheet. For paper type I suggest either Accent Opaque or Mohawk Superfine. The Accent will be cheaper

The seams are very difficult to notice unless you get up close and personal. I actually plan on doing a full wall with 1/2 gaps between each page, it looks really cool.

I like the multiple sheets I was just offering an alternative in case you wanted it gapless

how much ink does that take to do all of that though?

The nine sheet one dropped the percentage of black ink remaining by 1%, and the color by 2%.

Ive had the same color ink cartridge for over a year, I never print anything ever, and my wife only prints the occasional report. Im not worried about using a little ink.

I go through quite a bit of ink on the full color reports I print out. Whats sad is that its almost cheaper to buy a new printer (which comes with ink) than to buy the refill cartridges

They upped the alloweable size for avatars from 70x70 to 125x125 pixels. I adjusted my avatar to take advantage of this.

What size TV did you end up going for, and what brand?

Prove them right, Charlie Harper! Because if the day ever comes, that a man, however humble, can't go out and soil the loins of some cute little dancer, well, thats an America I don't want to live in my friend!

47" insignia 1080p. that's about all i remember without looking at the box again. i guess it's made by lg, so the quality should be up to par. after tax and the addition of the wall mount bracket, i totaled out at 1100, which i feel is a pretty decent price. it worlds better than the old tube tv i was using. i lol'd pretty hard when i compared it to the old tv, the new one's screen is wider than the entire old set, side speakers and all.
