In an unrelated note, my last surviving grandparent (Alex) passed away last night. I get to make the 400 mile trip to Marquette tomorrow for his funeral. So much for resting on my days off.

When everything is all said and done, I will have put around 1500 miles on my car from Friday till Wednesday.

Sorry to hear about that. If you end up cruising back down the LP (which I'm sure you wont) I would love to take you out for drinks. I'm in the same boat as you, I have one surviving GP and she's not doing so well. Anyways, the offer is on the table. Call me at 2487877802 if you end up doing it. Skiing/snowboard peeps- there are some awesome deals right now for the NH and VT mountains. Wildcat and Stratton in particular. Lets firm up a date in January!!

I'm also going to Stratton on Dec 24-28. If you want to come, I'll let you crash for as many days/nights as needed. I've already paid for it, so don't worry about the cost. Buy lunch, dinner, or some beers or something like that in return.

Thanks for the offer, but the LP is like an extra 13 hours of driving. I'll be heading out later this morning. Once my wife wakes we are going shopping. I found out this morning I am a pallbearer, and I need me a new suit, and a haircut.

So it was like almost 50 degrees last night at about 7 pm and now this morning at 6am it was 8 degrees and the roads were all ice!...crazyness!
