the only reason i feel bad for the kid is that i had something like that happen to me in high school. and it really sucked, and i still have problems from it to this day, and it happened when i was a sophomore. if it kept going the way it would have, in my opinion, it would have done some damage to him.

Dood, no worries. I didn't take it that way. I just wasn't a big hockey fan.

Ryan, you're right. Most of my teams have sucked my entire life (go cubbies!). I haven't seen any championships amongst all my teams while I've been a fan (cubs, bears, hawks, or my fighting illini). But yet, there I am. Cheering away and blowing money like a fool. I was at a cubs game in the playoffs 1.5 years ago when they got swept. Paid good money for that ticket to watch the entire effing infield commit errors in one damn inning. Awesome...
YES! cubbies! haha that made me laugh my a** off. i think we might have to wait another 100 years haha

Same here...for f*** sake, at that age (17?) I was practically in the same situation as him, if not....worse. The advice he got was solid (well, most of it). Although I knew better than to create unnecessary drama and overkill something as simple as asking a girl to a dance.

I also hate fans that leave games early because we're down by x amount of points.

Nala's an odd one for sure. Sometimes, I really just want to shake him and scream, "Do you NOT hear what I'm saying to you?!?!?!" Other times I feel sorry for him because some days I wonder if he truly just doesn't get it. He's certainly not doing himself any favors. What boggles me is how bad he rattles the rest of us.

I wouldn't know anything about that. I was a loser in high school (still am at heart?), but I had a girlfriend through most of it (f*cking mistake). Once I got into college I finally learned how to be normal, at least somewhat.

I wont be alive when they finally (if ever) win. I'm slowly coming to terms with that.

I dunno that he'll ever learn, but I'm still hoping. He's almost out of high school, so it should get better.

Ha, I wasn't referring to you. You may be a d*ck in a lot of posts, but I don't feel you've ever crossed the line (IMO). In fact, there have been times when I was catching up on a thread and saw a post I needed to respond to only to scroll down a bit and see that you posted almost exactly what I was going to say...

Yeah, some people definitely get rattled. Nala has never rattled me. I generally pride myself on the fact that it's hard to get under my skin. But one member in general really started to piss me off in that thread. It doesn't happen often, but I really wanted to deck that kid...

IDK why people bail him out. He is the one with the shovel and he digs and digs and digs. Finally when sh*t hits the fan, people bail him out. Maybe he needs to screw up to learn. Every one had simple straightforward advice, and he didn't listen. I don't feel bad for him one tiny bit, he deserves EVERYTHING that was headed his way. They are just delaying internet Darwinism.

he pisses me off because if i knew someone like him in real life (non internet) i could avoid him and act as if he were dead.... i can't do that without banning him here

can we just ban him? i mean really.... i have actual logic behind this.... hear me out

nala continuously makes stupid threads of which cause conflict among members.... starting fights is SUPPOSED to grounds for ban am i right? on top of that.... his threads cause a negative energy throughout NICO... which is bad for our image

can't we just rid of him? one member for the sake of the rest of us? i feel its a worthy sacrifice

I will neither agree with nor disagree with this thought process.
danshaz82 wrote:but like for me, it got so bad that id literally run away or hide or something. it was bad.
I used to get nervous when talking to chicks, or in front of groups. It's amazing how that's changed. I've been convinced to walk up to a group of chicks at a bar and ask them "how do you ladies feel about finger-bangin". It was quite amusing.
danshaz82 wrote:at least were better than those damn sox fans
I've got some friends who are huge sox fans. Some are worse than others. I think they're just jealous of the cubby fan base (or the hotties in the stands).

it sounds lame as hell, but if i had interest in a girl or something, i would talk to them online or text them or something like that alot. and it made things so much easier for me cause i got to avoid the awkwardness and uncomfortableness that came with it.

dude... sounds like your high school experience blew

i had a lot of fun in HS.... i fed the drama of our school

i was in the group that was 'outcast' if you will.... heavy metal instead of party/hip hop s***

i staged war against the popular kids.... and things kinda got epic to the point that myself and one of my friends got called to the office because (serious quote) "we've heard you and your buddies are going to be in the biggest fight in school history"... i laughed... but sadly because of this the fight never happened

the whole thing started because of how popular kids act... you know, that whole "i rule this school" thing.... well one of them crossed me the wrong way and i still hope to come across him in public one day

Yeah, I guess I just don't care anymore. Get a few beers in me and you can convince me to do just about anything. I don't have a whole lot of restraint. If said in a playful way, one can get away with just about anything.
