People started posting on facebook or something and it was gonna get out there. Nala was afraid it was all gonna blow up in his face a few months before graduation. I think that's the basic summary.

Well, I guess I wasn't technically a hawks fan quite at that time. In high school I started getting into hockey by watching the SC finals. I guess before that I hadn't realized how exciting hockey is. Shortly thereafter I started to follow the hawks because they were the home team, not a really good reason I know.

But, I've since converted a bunch of other people. When I was living in Chicago, it was my tv in the apartment and I'd watch games on it. Pretty much forced my roommate and his fiancée into it. Now they (as well as a few other friends) are fans. I even convinced them to pony up the dough and get to some games.

i just re read my post and it sounds like im calling ya a fair weather fan, which im not at all hahait is pretty nice to see they have such a huge fan base now. regardless if theyre fair weather fans or not. altho i do miss going to the games with max 2000 fans there and being able to yell at the players and have them yell back

the only reason i feel bad for the kid is that i had something like that happen to me in high school. and it really sucked, and i still have problems from it to this day, and it happened when i was a sophomore. if it kept going the way it would have, in my opinion, it would have done some damage to him.

Ryan, you're right. Most of my teams have sucked my entire life (go cubbies!). I haven't seen any championships amongst all my teams while I've been a fan (cubs, bears, hawks, or my fighting illini). But yet, there I am. Cheering away and blowing money like a fool. I was at a cubs game in the playoffs 1.5 years ago when they got swept. Paid good money for that ticket to watch the entire effing infield commit errors in one damn inning. Awesome...
