wow just found my old build thread.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the wonderful comments. I aappericate all the support NICO has given me.

I have the CA running at 10psi dyno'd at 201 RWH. Stock set up.

I had the car at carslise, running with NICO.

The car ran great all summer and got 2nd place at NOPI pittsburgh.

Its currently undergoing maintence work(timing belt, water pump, leaky turbo gasket) And wide *** end flares with 3 inch wheel spacers.

Also some hello kitty silk interior work is being performed.

It'll be hitting up the show circuit and drift track all next year starting with NICO at carslise 2008!!!!

thanks guys!!

Ur done for now Whity

Man I want to come to carlisle this spring now. Or nopi whichever you'll be at. Maybe you can bring the famous jill because she'd have everyone begging for her to work for them.

Great job so far, the car has come from rags to riches. I like the CA swap. You got so lucky with those goodies man.

great to see my old thread still bumping around.

Yea I'm still here guys, just lurking around. Just installed my walbour and FPR. And replaced a leaking Manifold to turbo gasket.I've also installed a set of koukis, JDM front signals, police scanner, and shocker sticker :P

The car is ready for another season and is going into the body shop in around 1-2 months to get touched up and the skirts and bumper painted, and LR quarter fixed. But it will be at Carslise and Jill will be coming with a little surprise of her own.

87 conquest TSI...

oh yea you guys were asking for finished shots..

at a local car show.

in front of my house.

me and jill playing with painters tape.. ps it makes pop ups real angry..PS NICO banners FTW!!!!!!!

and the sad day when me a wet road and a phone pole met...

thanks for all the support guys!

I just read this entire thread and I am amazed. I go to a tech school with an auto shop but I stayed away from it. It full of ricers and d-bags. I have two friends in it though on has an old school sa/fb Rx-7 and another has an Rb20 power s13. I wouldn't let the one with the s13 work on my car though, he's to ghetto with his stuff. I need to find a good looking chick who can paint my car now... I love being in a tech school though I get to work on cool stuff in my engineering class and If we ever get our current robot project done I'm going to start making cool stuff for my 240. Excellent work though

HVP, on a scale of 1-10, whats the difficulty in getting the upholstery to form to the molds on the door panels?

looks like he didnt take the time to get it to look really nice and im sure that material is not flexable enough to do that crazy corner.

Its difficult to get a good looking door insert, most of them that I see look like shiz.

Actually, when I took that picture it was the night I had just started putting on the fabric.

And its actually real silk, and at 11 bucks a yard it better be..

Its not really hard in the sense that i over lapped the whole insert then cut and trimmed the material to fit the door pan, I also did the headliner and glove box.

Just buy a GOOD upholstery glue and prep the surface with a rubbing alcohol of sorts to clean the glue and junk off the door pan.

Then spray your glue and start pressing in the material to the door then with a good razor trim the excess. let sit for a day and your home free.. JDM interior! Just take your time no rush and itll come out fine and if it doesn't pull it off and re glue!
