I haven't spent money on problems.. I think 240's are very reliable... the money I spent was for upkeep since my car has over 100k miles on it. with that many miles.. you are gonna have to spend money. and other was for my clutch... but that was due to my driving when I first got it! other than that... it was just regular tune ups and stuff.. nothing major at all....cept all the stuff I did...

240's are unreliable,

i think thats kind of an ignorant statement, maybe your 240 is unreliable b/c your not takin care of it right or what ever, i've had my 240 for a year and only had one problem(minor) and mine has 130,000 miles on it, so i think they are pretty reliable, thats just my opinion

Wow...I never really thought about it much, but after adding it all up, I've spent over $7000 in aftermarket parts. No wonder I'm in so much debt. I'll be spending another $500 soon too...If this car wasn't as reliable as it is, I'd be flat broke.

I paid $1400 and haven't had any problems yet. It has 175K miles on it. I just bought a stock LSD out of an 180 sx for $170 shipped. So, I have $1570 invested including purchase price.

I brought my car for 200$ with a blown engine and broken hatch glass ( Good body though). So far 150 on a hatch glass 185 for a 5sp and 75 for clutch and brake pedals and lines for 5spd conversion. 300 for a valve job, hot tank and overbore on the block. 760$ not bad but there is so much left to do.

hehehe.... ;)

procrastinate, and ye shall recieve sought after product during discount season. So in other words, jspec.com was having a christmas sale. I would have gotten it for $690, but it was my finals week, and I couldn't drive to his store to pick it up, and he wouldn't hold it for me.

My car was $6,000.

Then i got the timing chain job done for $80 and a case of beer (family friend), and my brake pads changed for $50.

I bought a few things like pedals, cd players, etc... but my car only has about $1500 total invested.

Well, I must be doing something wrong. You guys are including your car in the cost? OK...Add another $20K to mine. It's too bad I didn't keep the S13 and just modify that instead. I'd probably be out of debt by now if I did. =P
