Bought my 900 240SX for $3700--So far I have dropped $3500 in repairs and upkeep not including the $2600 in body work from when I hit some woman who pulled out in front of me by running a stop sign! Luckily I was only doing 20MPH or they might have totalled it on me!

sounds sweet man, thanks alot. i know where i am going to get the 5spd and clutch (pretty sure on the clutch) from now, and i also found some $100 driveshafts, so thats sweet. there is still other stuff though, like the release bearing, pressure plate, etc. seems like the pressure plate comes with the clutch i think someone told me, i dunno, lol.

I've got 500 bucks into mine. 90 hb, needs minimal body work and paint, the interior is great. The engines still putting along on 3 cylinders. Probably gunna end up sinking about 10 grand into it though. It's gunna be a beast :) Once I get that kind of dough :(

90 Hatch 1300

Hatch in accident last week so looking for new car

But with the RB25DET swap, the Silvia front end, tires, wheels, suspension, custom interior(including figuring out how to make my S15 gauge cluster work!) and LCD screen and PS2, I'm looking at about $15-20k when I'm done.

Getting into that accident kinda changed things tho.

A friend of mine is trying to convince me to just buy a 94-98 Twin Turbo Supra for the same amount I'll have in the S13 with mods.

Technically, I'd be able to afford to do both, but then I'd be broke..

I loved my 240sx, but damn I gotta love the Mark IV Supras too...

In the 9 years I've owned my 240sx, I've spent about 8-10K not including tires, gas, oil, etc. Only voluntary repairs(sr20det, rims(x3), exhaust). The KA was still running w/210K miles on it when I decided to swap to the SR. My 240SX has been a reliable workhorse for me. I wish I could buy a 2004 nissan 240sx

Good question, let me see here.1 Grey 1989 240sx SE-1750Gas for about 5k miles at about 1.75 per 20 miles (sucky mileage but i drive fast) -437Lots of oil and transmission gear oil -50 bucksTires and Rims-1100Alpine MP3 deck and nice speakers -700Plugs from dealer-8 bucks...Nismo liscence plate cover i accidentally bought while there-30 bucks. Sand paper and body filler -20180sx Kouki Wing 210

Hours working on my car--i'd say at least 100 so far. New stuff learned--immeasurable.

I'm up to at least 4305 bucks and its gotten me a sanded/primered SOHC powered car from 1989...that i absolutly love. I dont care if it makes lifter noises or has at least 3 different colors of flat grey. its all about that rainy day in the big empty parkinglot.

Other 240sx: 1990, $1000Timing kit 100gaskets, tools, fluids and junk related to this job- 100expenses are still adding up on this car and its not even running yet. But i have a few people that want to buy her of course.

WISH LIST:Sell the 1990 240sx.Pro-Kit springs and AGX AdjustablesEach bushing replaced/ugradedStrut bars and powerbraces anywhere i can bolt emLimited slipPowerslot Q45 rotors, greenstuff pads, Autozone Q45 calipers and stainles steel lines. Seats that dont suckFinish painting my car

Theres thousands more before even talking about engines, at least 2000 to get my motor swapped in (i think i want an RB20DET but i change my mind waaay too often) then thousands more to upgrade the motor, then someday thousands more to rebuild it. (re-build it strong enough to withstand a nuclear attack at least i might at) Thousands here, thousands there. Since when did buying a 14 year old car turn into a 10-15 thousand dollar deal? Ultimate performance doesnt come cheap, and im struck with the car-guy gotta-upgrade-it syndrome.
