the only problem i've ever had wrong with my 240 is my alternator goin on..big deal...no harm there. as far as parts and mods. i'm hittin close to the 19,000 mark just in parts.

Don't get me started!I bought my car for $450, bought transmission + install + brakes $1200, + metallic paint job + radiator + install + body work + tires + . . . total $3000, but I'm left w/ a $3000 240sx w/ a bad transmission just 8 months later.

Previous owners spent about twice the above amount to get the car near perfect and I policed up the rest.

Car was totaled on 25 December 02, 6 days after being restored to nearly as new condition (including some very hard to get contrasting leathr updates not listed above)

Engine was idleing PERFECT you absolutely could not tell the car was running unless you looked at tach..

I will find a worthy replacment soon.

i now have about $1500 saved up and I am going to wait till I can get My CAI, HS Header, APEX N1, Headlight Conversion kit, Rims Body Kit, a Good looking wing (no aluminum) guages dash kit, tires Tint,paint, racing seats, mabey turbo, mabey sr20det blacktop from duantless, mabey Nos.

In the end I want to have put at least $20000 in to it and have a good show car. Plus smoke most eclipses, 3000gt's, mr2's, probes, honda's, stang's, camaro's, and T/A's, plus a few vettes. I plan to try and have a majority of this done by July for our local car show here in town.

i dumped a lot into my old 240, probably 3 or 4 grand including mods and just fixing crap that broke, i bought it with 31,000 miles on it and when i wrecked it it had 68,000 on the clock.

ive put $0 into my mustang in the past year in repairs, nothing has ever gone wrong with it in 33,000 miles which makes for a lot more mod money! the car has 92,000 on it now and runs flawlessly. ive put maybe $1000 into the stang. unlike my 240 :rolleyes cant wait til spring so i can drive it again!

welp, i got my car for $1000. 1995 240sx 5spd, got a new radiator ($200) and replaced my headgasket myself($380, with reconditioned head). lowered her 2 inches for $125 using tanabe. shift boot $4. s13 7spoke rims $50 off my friend. soon to be carbonfiber hood $550. r33 gt-r replica bumper on its way $295. new headlights and core support $600. less then $4000. anyone jealous? haha just kidding. dont be jealous just be glad im pampering my 240.

I paid a little under 10K for my 96 240SX SE w/15K miles on it.So far I put about 2-3 grand into it (car audio, performance parts and other stuff like clear side markers and **** like that)I think I got a great deal on my car!

i think i got just a better deal, tho your milage was lower.. got my 97 for $7900 w/ 27k .. but still we both got lucky to find cars in such good conditions for those prices...

have spent about 1000 perhaps, between alarm, cat-back, then some minor repairs....

well i put about somewhere between $500-$800 dollars in it a week. and if you count how many times the money is PUT IN my car and then taken out and the PUT IN again when i go to make my deposit at the bank.....well then it more like $1000-$1600 a week.

ok, seriously.......not nearly as much a what i've planned. my current car will go up for sell once i find another RPS13 to accept the motor swap. i plan on buying that one for $2000 or less. and i will put about $5000 into it immediately.

but to me as many people on this board. we aren't building classic domestic cars that we want for $$$ value. but we're building a car we love and appreciate and it's not the value to other people that matters....... but the value to us.

i put in $.50 POS j/k hmm i bough the car for $1400, then brought an engine which was another $1400 oh yeah that was also before the $400 clutch (that is wit installation) $200 INjen intake, $105 for pulleys and belts, $210 head unit, $120 radar, $40 for neon lights that are inside the car (i hate driven when everything in the driver side is dark) $150 underbody kit (YEAH AND FLAME ME I GOT MY SUIT ON) my $200 SPW muffler iwt $85 custom pippn but that was free b/c i got it off of my 1st 240 so thats about $3K right
