Props. Looks like gold (with maybe some metal flake?). Can't say I've seen too many of those. Good choice.

,

yes, I did paint the car after the last wet sanding, I wet sanded the car with a 600 grit and I then wiped the entire car pannel by pannel with a very wet cloth and I used a dry cloth right after to make shure it was dry,I then left the car under the sun for about 30min to make shure it was dry.

then I grabed another piece of cloth and wiped the entire car again but this time I used a WAX/SILICONE REMOVER that I bought at autozone.

this is the clearcoat I used.

and the paint.

anyway, hard to see any detail. How did you manage with orange peel over the whole car, or any drips?

and what kind of clear did you use.
No orange peel, a few drips on a some places but nothing major, next I will wet sand with 1000grit and then with 1500grit then a good buffing and that will do the trick, I did use fisheye remover just in case!!

u waited 30 minutes after spraying the last coat of clear?? that seams real early. i was gunna wait atleast a day or 2 when i painted mine, but then i got busy and its been almost 2 months now and i still havent gotten around to it. i need to get rid of that orange peal. im not sure if thats fixable tho.

yeah, what they said ^...and hurry, i'm on this post at work, risking my job for nico...and how much was the total? you think a 16 yr old that knows the basics of painting and has a tight budget can do this in his garage? oh and did you take your motor out and paint your engine bay? if so was it worth it and how hard was it?

sorry everyone!! I have been super busy with work that I havent had any time to work on my car or even login..

well, how much$$ ?? lets see, it was about two spraycans of primer per pannel, so aprox 20 cans about 5bucks a piece so thats aprox $100.00.Then masking tape and paper, 3rolls of tape about 3.50 a piece and 4.50 for the paper =15.00.About 35.00 on sand paper, papers I should say, lots of different kinds of sandpapers... Basecoat, clear, thinner and aditives/supply's about 500.00 but its prety good paint (not the best) but good... this is not including stuff i already had like sanding block, bondo and some other stuff i cant think of right now.aprox total= between 650.00-750.00 dollars END RESULT= PRICELESS!!! (sorry, had to throw that in there)

im sure it would be cheaper if single stage is shot on top of symilar color (no need for primmer) about 300.00 savings

Im sure it can be done if you know the basics of paint, but its not the actual painting by its self thats hard, its all the damn work!!about the engine bay, well I had already painted the engine bay and interior before i did the outside, but I sprayed it silver.

oh!! by the way, I also sprayed/tinted my breaklights to compliment the new color..

I started the wet sanding prosses, I started with 1000grit and then with 1500grit, i did the hole car..

when i was done i was super tired but i could not wait to start buffing and this is what i used..

using a DEWALT VARIABLE SPEED I started on the hood and it was coming out so f@cken beutyful...

and then the damn buffer starts shooting sparks!!! so now my hood is half way done and its been that way for little more than a week, i am so broke right now and i really wanna finish this..DAMN!!!!

Wow, what an awesome job! I'm going to do this one day because I love my car so much... It looks like a LOT of work, but rewarding though, just to see the car look so so so nice. Great Job. :D I'm inspired!
