That's how I was able to net 1.6 and 1.8 60 foot times. If I drop the clutch I am rewarded with instant engagement and some pretty decent tire spin. I like to slip the clutch out at 5k though. Insures some quick spool and pretty decent traction. The grab for second comes quickly though, but once you master the 1-2 grab the rest is staying in the lane. I didn't "feel" like I was going fast until I was midway through 3rd.
Turbo at full song, car staying right in the lane, time to think before the next gear change...glance over the shoulder shows the other guy falling behind, pure ecstasy.
That is why I drag race
It is possible those could be lyrics to a poem or a song! hahaha NICE!!!
I drove it to work (sitting here now) and it shifted great. It is an instant grab but as long as you arent above your 'launch rpm it's fine. A couple times I dropped from a slightly too high RPM (it's winter and I have winter tires on) and it would just spin the tires... So... I suppose I understand why it's not considered streetable but I'll never buy a 'middle of the road' clutch again in my life.
To me, this is just as hard as driving a stage 3 clutch so I may as well get the full benefit. Stage 5 for life. (period)
