Hail no. This is our only car. I have suffered with the inability to carry stuff in sedans for 8 years now. No way I was getting a sedan. I like being able to go to Target, buy some big shelf thing, and take it straight home. I have wanted a hatch for YEARS but if you are buying used in the late 90s that means you can choose from....um.....a Civic SI? And a Daewoo? And not much else. I was elated when they started making small efficient reliable hatches again because that's what I have wanted to buy for the last 10 years.vpnavy wrote: Besides, I know if all of you HB lovers had a chance to do it all over - you would have bought a Sedan!

The hatch has a narrower angle of vision out the rear window than the sedan (part of the hatch interior blocks exterior glass). However, if you have your mirrors properly adjusted, you can minimize the blind spots, making visibility just as good as a sedan with properly adjusted mirrors.powergrip wrote:Got the hatch myself. Is it a fact that hatches have worse blind spots then sedans? I test drove both and I didn't really notice.
i rubber neck when switching lanes...Ever Victorious wrote:

I can look in my driver's mirror, and pan to the passenger side over the rear view and passenger mirrors, and have a completely unblocked, slightly overlapping view of everything 1+ car lengths behind me all the way out to one full lane on either side. I only have to head check to make sure there's not something sitting right on the other side of the C-pillar, which is just as intrusive in the sedan.

Anyways, the Sedan is UGLY.
