The decision to go with the HB or the Sedan is going to be driven by many different factors for many different people. I would ask questions like:
-What kind of cargo will you carrying, if any, in this car?
-Will you be having any passengers riding in the rear seats; and if so, are they more likely to be adults or children?
-Are you planning on adding any stereo/speaker equipment to the vehicle's current audio set-up?
These kinds of questions can lead you in the right direction, but ulimately, a person's response is likely to be driven by their personal preference of appearance, and perhaps to a lesser extent by driving style. For some it may even come down to what's available on the lot at time of purchase, but there do seem to be trends:
-Older people tend to prefer the Sedan, while young students and professionals seem to prefer the Hatchback.
-Those whose driving style could be described as aggressive and/or performance-style also seem to prefer the Hatchback (for the rally-car racing feel the Hatchback provides, especially with CVT); while those whose style is more cautious and defensive haven't necessarily shown a preference for the Sedan or the Hatchback. (I think this may be why Versa Hatchback sales have greatly outweighed Versa Sedan sales thus far.)
-So far, I have seen several "tricked-out" Hatchbacks, but not one "pimpin'" Versa Sedan... except the one in Jitheshar's pictures (but how come no one ever gets a Versa Sedan that isn't Airstream colour?)...
I decided to go with the Versa Hatchback SL w/CVT in Ebony. I'm a young family man who needed a second car so I could commute for less gas/carbon-imprint. I just got it last month, so there'll be much upgrading in the near future (tint, stripes, better brakes, I even want to get some nice black wheels so the whole car looks black except the stripes), so I'll put some pics up when I start getting that stuff done... Probably towards the springtime. I live in Canada, in one of the coldest damn cities on the North American continent! There is no point in trickin' out my ride just for it to look like $#!% in the winter.
