that was mearly a smith and wesson 29 if it was supposed to be based on a gun Bond actually used.

My favorite gun to use on that game though...

P-99 for anything other than the sake of owning a ppk really, they have a crappy DA trigger pull and the caliber is somewhat weak, they are however neat guns

For a Walther I would want a P-5 9mm. Looks like a PPK, but chambered in 9mm :D

yup, you gotta shoot a special load to get that much flash though

I've shoot some stuff out of my SKS (has a goofy comp on it) that made some nice fireball though, some of the military surplus will make a pretty big flash, but with more modern powerders it's not as common.

yeah, it was originally designed for police use if I remember, the Europeans issue wierd guns for police...

I think the best was probably the awesome CZ-75 though

CZ-52's are neat pistols too, have a neat action similar to the HK rifles and a rather powerful caliber for it's size. They just have a somewhat awkward grip angle, it doesn't want to point to naturally.

I've had a Sig P2340 for a little over 3 years. It's by far the best overall handgun I've fired; light, sexy, ultra-well made and reliable, decent caliber and pretty affordable.

that's one of the Pro series right?

I haven't had the chance to shoot one yet, I do however like the regular line of sig pistols, the 239 is a nice CCW gun, though I personally find my uncle's to feel somewhat small and not quite comfortable in my big ol hands

ok, im trying to decide on the two models ive narrowed it down to- medium frame glock's, but im undecided on the caliber.

what would you choose to carry-glock 23- .357glock 32- .40

im gonna go with the .40, unless theres a better reason to go with the .357. any ideas? im gonna be getting my concealed carry permit in 3 months, and both models are the same size.

also, both guns can be retrofitted to the other caliber, but i would rather keep them stock.

.357 has a little more thump than a .40 but it's gonna have a little more recoil too.

it all comes down to what you want, more power or less recoil?

ill probably go with the .40 because the recoil wouldnt be the best thing to deal with in a stressful condition. its one thing on a range, but if someones comming after you with a weapon, you better land those shots. also, i would be shooting at anything farther than 30 yards [defense] so having a bigger caliber would be more important than distance.

ive just heard that the 357 rounds are more reliable, but ive never shot a .357 only a 9,40,45 my choice is the 40.

also, glock 10 mm are supposed to be good also, but ive never used on, so im unsure.

unless there is a heavy argument against them, im goin with the 40.

gun laws around here suck. you cant even draw unless someone is immently threating you life. if its a good old fist fight, you gotta leave it at that...

gotta hope the person comes out of the car with a bat or something, then the get the good ol israeli draw...

the 357 is more inherently reliable due to it's bottleneck case design, it'll let it feed so much easier

also, compensated weapons reduce the energy of the round slightly, right?

yeah, they'll also slow velocity, but it's not that big a difference, it does it by helping spread out the gas flow and better disperse it, they're usually gonna be louder though

a few ranges down here will rent them, there's a good chance you'll find one, what preferences are you looking for in a handgun? DAO SA DA/SA? Polymer frame or alloy? all that good stuff, seems most of the 357 guns are around the same price range, glock being the cheapest usually

don't forget to get high cap .40 mags if you can find em either;)

I saw an ad-insert in the local paper for KAL-Ranch Stores, they have a 9mm pistol on sale for 89 bucks. Thats gotta be the best handgun on the market for sure.

But seriously, i like the Berreta 92f. That extra little bit of barrel is just cool imo.
