Thank ya sirbadbob2121 wrote:nice, its been awhile since ive seen an update for this build...
looks like things are coming along... i like
Appreciate it. This was definitely not meant to be a crazy build. Its a clean, fun to drive DD that stays true to OEM form. I've never been into the crazy thing anyway, well at least not for my only car. I would have loved to see the steering wheel on it too, but what needed to be done was just not worth it at all. I'm thinking a nice 3 Spoke Nardi with blue stitching and a quick release will be in order later onSliviaBum88 wrote:I like this build a lot its clean and not some outrageous crazy *** build. Clean and simple. Would love to see that steering wheel installed in the car
Hey I remember you, hard to believe you still have your car after all these years! How many miles on it now? Thank you sirMAXIMUS Nismo wrote:Just read this whole thread and I too want to fully update my car like you've done yours.
Seeing the word "grilled cheese" so may times, I'm gonna go make me one next.
Well done sir. From a another FN2 owner.
It is bright white rustoleum engine enamel with high heat clear. It used to be a super bright white, but now turned kinda yellow, more of a cream color. I like the new color it turned a bit better, its not so "loud". I can take an updated pic of the new color to show how it turned if you would like.S14Kouki10 wrote:what paint did you use for your vc?

Thanks MayneRaz007 wrote:So beautiful. I see my car in yours..... someday!!
Thank You.sr240dett3 wrote:The car looks fantastic. Nice to see a tastefully done Zenki. Keep it up!
Thanks, and something might be done eventually lol. They are decent but not the best. How you see them in the pics is as far as they get with a buffer. I really want to take them off and wet sand them, but thats once I get ambitious. I'm kinda afraid to pull the headlights because I don't want to scratch the paint popping the corner lights out haha. Yea, i'm that picky.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:All you need is some clear headlight lenses!
Great looking car!

5 speed, paint, LSD, and this car will be set
How do you like that tomei knob? My stock one is all nasty, and im thinking about getting an aftermarket knob, but i dont really like any. The nismo titanium one is nice, but it gets too hot for florida. The tomei duracon knob is suppoed to not get hot or cold
1.The key to taking tint off is heat. I happen to live in FL where we have brutal summers. I let the car sit out in direct sun for about an hour or 2. Then I just got in the car and used a razor blade in the corner to get the tint started off. Then I had an assistant run a hairdryer right where I was peeling tint. I had the assistant on the outside of the window and I was inside of course. It all came off in one piece luckily!Promise Land wrote:After reading all pages, I have a few questions (I need to do all of what you have done):
1. What did you use to get all the old tint off so easily?
2. What grit of sandpaper did you use to polish the headlights?
I think there is a proportionate ratio of wood chucked to the strength and endurance of the woodchuck's arm, unless the farmer catches them chucking the wood and interrupts the process.numbnuts240 wrote:how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
I did my prelude's with 1000 grit, then 2000 grit, then followed it up with a polishing compound. After that, I degreased/cleaned them again, and clear coated them. I then followed it with the same 1000--->2000--->polish method. They turned out pretty good, but I definitely got a little fisheye in the clear.Promise Land wrote: 2.
