I was doing a seasonal race last night...had one race to go needing a Honda Civic. So I buy a new one, mod it fully and head back...only to find out that they closed it and replaced with some classic car challenge. So now I'm stuck with this fully modded Civic lol

On a positive note, I kept checking with the used car dealership and one of my favorite cars popped up...Nissan R89C!!!!!! 3.6 mil on the car and another 1 mil to refurbish it (engine/chassis rebuild). My Ferrari Formula will have to wait!

I'm testing a few cars now...but that car is pretty sweet. The only thing is with the drivers' aids turned off, it has a tendency to spin out, even at handicapped specs (added 200kg, reduced power).

Yeah I also had some under steer issues @ Monza and High Speed Ring. I tweeked some things to make it less dramatic but chances are in the heat of battle I will spin out...

Guys check to see if you can use the cars I shared with friends are available to be used in the Seasonals.

If so, you guys can use my Shelby and Ford MKIV to finish the races with out paying for modding them yourselves.

some interesting news for us "wannabe racers" playing GT5 like its real life.....

Image

"Lucas Ordoñez, winner of the inaugural Nissan and PlayStation GT Academy competition in 2008, will demonstrate once again the success of the innovative gamer-to-racer competition when he lines up on the grid of the famous Le Mans 24 Hours this year. The 25-year-old Spaniard will contest the full Intercontinental Le Mans Cup in 2011 behind the wheel of a Nissan-powered LMP2 car for the Signatech Nissan team."

So weird, you never hear of Forza players turning to professional race car drivers with major factory backing..... :rotflmao :rotflmao :rotflmao

Yeah, he's raced for Nissan a few times as well. GT Academy N/A is down to the last 32 players right now.

Man that is sooo much CRAP! Ive been looking for a R89/92 CP (preferably 92) forever, and never found one yet. Its fast and has a high top speed. Its the same with the Corvette C5R. I must have both of those to be satified!!!

Ill probly be checking out the seasonals later tonight.

Yeah, low payout on the seasonals. But at least I didn't have to buy any cars.

R89C is faster than any of my other cars that qualify for this race...beat the Zonda R and ZR1 'vette RM by over 2 seconds in the high speed ring!

lol, just keep checking the used car dealership and have 4 million to spend. Also, just because it's faster than the Zonda R or RM ZR1 'vette, doesn't mean it will win the race. It still comes down to drivers' skill. The Zonda R can be won on B-spec, and the RM 'vette can be bought for under 500k.

Trust me Ive been looking since I bought the GT F1 car. True, if it cant turn, its ganna lose. I have both of those and the Vette is absolutely aweful thru turns. What a shame.

Just as a sidenote.. I dont think if I buy a 2007 F1 I can use it in the F1 race for BSpec. The regulations only say GT F1, no Ferrari's. This game get s more disappointing by the day :tisk:. Can't I just play a good driving game with none of the crappy mistakes that appear to be more common than the good ideas?

Yeah the Ferrari F1 is disappointing...

You can't use it in any races in GT5. Only online, and even then it has to be an all Ferrari F1 race to use them online. It's a waste of 10,000,000. Also you wouldn't want to bring the Ferrari F1 to the GT F1 race, it would get SMOKED.

GT F1 was designed to be an F1 car but without any of the annual restrictions the the actually F1 teams face. If you look at it, it revs to 18k, has 900+ hp, fat tires, wide wing and other aero features that aren't allowed on any F1 cars now-a-days.

Dam that's true. I never thought of that. So i cant even use it in an endurance race or anything? And all its good for is photo? Thats not helping my opinion of this game so far. Thanks for the second thought tho.

I mite just not spend any money and buy that red 20mil ford or whatever it was. I can also get that trophy too.
