What kind of gears are you running because the stock gear ratio will only allow for 90 mph or so in third.

If they made a roots type blower for our cars I think I would prefer that over an sr20. A blown 2.4 liter would be more fun to drive than a turbo 2.0. I like the more linear power curve of a super charger also.

speaking of fiberglass. ive worked with it a tiny bit and had good results. (small project, less than 1' x 1')

would making a duplicate of a fender be something that you could pull off in a garage with like saran wrap, cloth and resin? With enough sanding, it would look like stock. hmm....

I was thinking, the stock ka has **** loads of torque anyway. A roots style blower would give you even more down low but less up top. I would think a centrifugal with some stage 2 cams that would open the powerband up to redline would really scream.

I think the cintrifigal ( sorry for spelling ) is only one that will fit. But still be pretty cool. What you think about the powerdyne? No oil lines cause its belt driven, and none of that high pitch whine afiliated with the supercharger......Sleeper........

No he is doing this completely custom and most likely paying a lot for it.

PS - this looks good...I'm not planning on doing this but does anyone know about clearance issues in a 240? b/c he said it was in hardbody so there may be some differences which keeps us from doing it.

There was a thread about this at 240sxforums and as far as i know you are the first person to have a *running* blown KA.

I am in KC, home of procharger, and I would like to influence these guys to build a kit. If anyone else is in, please visit the following website, and let them know what you want:http://www.procharger.com/suggest.shtml

Bedbull do you have any more pics? Did you figure out the high RPM issue? Has anyone gotten around to using the Rotex or any other charger to work? I would be interesting in anything anyone can give me.

to combat the less boost at low rpm problem you could put a pulley on that would boost more and just vent the excesslike say you want 10psi, you could get a pulley for like 16psi or somethin and just vent the excess and it would make more boost earlier. it would depend on the supercharger as to what pulley and how much boost over and stuff to run, but ive heard of supercharger kits doing this

deezlins:ive often wondered about that.i hear people complaining that you can only use pullies to control boost.why cant you overboost and run an EBC to control how much you boost.that way you can boost 7psi whenever you want and then set it at a race while in the car to 15?am i missing something there?

Superchargers don't have wastegates... so there is no thing for the EBC to control

Also, if you have been following the thread. You would probably overrun the corrolla super and shell it out by overboosting. I expected bedbull to come up with a new plan myself.
