I don't know, but that comment makes it sound like he started yelling about firewood at his wife. Maybe I'm reading this in a different way than you are? :gotme
Possibly. Maybe you're right and I'm wrong. Either way we are both interpreting a comment and neither of us know all the details. So we're both jumping to conclusions. I just prefer to give people the benefit of explaining themselves before I tar and feather them... most of the time anyway.

Lol, I tend to do the opposite. I'm not a very patient person, so I jump to conclusions quickly.

AppleBonker wrote:Precisely my point. At no time in the OP's statement did he claim he snapped in front of his wife. I said he lost it, but did not specify when/where/with whom. So you may be no better than he is... Just sayin'

Just to point out a little something here: ADDIrishboy, to the best of my knowledge, has not made a thread about snapping on his lady, he didn't title that thread "God I Hate Women". He didn't threaten to cheat (which the op certainly didn't do to her face) over the internet. We have all gotten overly mad at something, punched a wall, kicked the cat, screamed. The difference between normal and douche, is the fact that we haven't talked sh*t about our significant others over the internet, behind their backs. The OP is a punk, plain and simple. Not because he got into an argument and snapped over something retarded, but because he didn't have the common sense to apologize and just shut the hell up.

Actually, I've vented about my girl on the formus. But I didn't say that I should just screw a HS chick. Thanks for backing me up though.

What's the difference between venting online and venting to friends in person or over the phone? I know, these formus are more public and the text of the rant persists, but it's still just a rant. As I said, I don't think this is the venue (for the two reasons in my previous sentence), but that doesn't change the fact that it may have just been a poor decision to rant to NICO.

I never said it was bad to vent online on a car forum. The ONLY beef I have with this is the fact that he snapped on his wife for not bringing home firewood for her own romantic surprise. Want something romantic you plan to work? Do it ALL yourself. If you rely on others, someone is bound to drop the ball and ruin the whole thing.

And especially don't throw the task of getting firewood at your injured wife. That's just stupid.

And we are simply burning him for that poor decision. I respect your stance, its needed to keep this whole conversation going. I just think this guy crossed the line, maybe it was his tone/language that pissed us off. Either way, he really shouldn't talk crap about his wife on the internet, its a slippery slope and it shows a lack of respect.

I feel like this could turn into a repeat of that Acura forum. Does the OP own his car, or is it in his wife's name?

Remember, kids, if you use the forums to complain about people with access to your ish, log off when you're not at it.

There are many decaffeinated products that are just as tasty as the regular brand.

:werd: Or venting to a Psychologist for that matter.

It's not like he is gossiping about her, posting nude photos, etc. He is letting off steam & soliciting advice.

Has anyone else noticed that he has not posted back in this thread to defend his actions/decision? silence speaks volumes.

*edit: just found this. I sure hope he gets that anger issue under control soon. He's gonna need lots of patience for this one.

I like knowing that any relationship I exit, I was the better half of it. The good guy. The responsible one who mostly did things right. This unfortunately means Ive been dating too many lesser halves.

Well, OP's suggesting to his wife that he'd have sex with a random teen girl is not nearly as bad as if he told his wife that her sister took less effort to get into bed than her.....

Just tryin' to help, OP.... :bigthumb:

Yeah, so four days after the OP posts this, we get this:

Classic. I'll refrain from commenting on any of it.

Aww, that's rough. While it is true he's a Vikings fan (j/k), it's possible that after reading our colorful commentary that he may have realized his lapse in judgement and apologized to her.

To me it sounds like his heart was in the right place in planning something nice for her, but he used the wrong head in the execution. As Bex noted, we have not yet heard back from him, so this story could still have a nice ending. How about it, OP?

But, if he still believes he was right about his romantic backyard plan, then.....
