the same way he would make it say "Nissan" or "Altima Coupe"... last I checked the only kick plates out say "Altima" on them.

edit: and I meant the lettering with white/red lights

Italianbulldog85 wrote:yo doc... what about something like this lit up with carbon fiber...
yes, this is definately possible... We could use gloss black vinyl , cut out the letters, leaving them clear, then do a red vinyl underneath the "o" in nismo. THe background would be carbon fiber with the gloss black center for the nismo letters. I think this would look very good! Or you could do the entire thing in carbon fiber

The reason it costs more for special orders is that the print shop must set up a new design template in the computer for every custom order, then, after its setup in the printer, future orders can use that template and be laser cut from there.

Naww, I can't wait that long... these will be for sale by next week, maybe the week after at the latest...

One thing I'm realizing is that R & D costs money! I've spent hundreds of dollars alreadys on trying to get these together!!!

still doing R&D, takes time and is more expensive than I thought... I'm gonna start off with about three different styles... again, my main concern is durabilty, they will all look good, but I want to create something that will last for years, not months...

Jarvik got exposed... he wasn't even a real licensed Dr. ,and has never practiced medicine! There are also questions as to whether or not he actually did the work that led to cretion of the artificial heart...

Wow that looks awesome! Really bright too. Personally I think I'd just want the letter glowing, but I think you said you could do that in the final versions. You'll definitely get an order from me in the future

No, I'm gonna use these, and finish fabricating the first set tomorrow.

The thing about these is that , it is a prototype, so its not 100% perfect. The black area surrounding the letters is not exactly the same length on the two pieces... (one is 7" and the other is 6.5", but no one would ever notice this since they will be on opposite sides of the car.

In any case, I'm gonna finish fabricating these either tonight or tomorrow, and sell these ASAP. This first set is truely one of a kind as I will be going with a different (but similar) setup on the rest of them. THis set is 100% plexiglass, with black vinyl underneath (with altima machined out of the vinyl, and brushed aluminum vinyl on the top.

I will have pictures of them lit up tonight, and will put them on sale tomorrow... first come first serve!!! Price will be $200 shipped with Next day delivery!

OK guys, here they are installed, mounted, and illuminated...

With backlight off... you won't see this because when the door is open, the backlight will be on!

With the backlight on... this is what it will look like during the day, with the door open...

And this is what it will look like at night...

just a quick question shouldn't the driverside NISSAN be reversed so when you get into the car you read nissan, and not nassin??

I dunno if that makes sense Dr. Rob. also whats the shipping to Canada?
